Chapter 20

ROSS' POV

I was walking out of the bathroom after getting dressed and started to walk down the stairs when I heard Ash say, "Riker... did you forget you have a girlfriend and I have a boyfriend?" I was about to say something when I heard Riker say, "Oh shit, I am so sorry Ash. I can't believe I just kissed you." I was speechless, while I heard Emily start crying. I yelled at him, "WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY RIKER???"

Then he ran right past me to go find Emily. I decided to ask Ash. She took one look at me and bursted into tears and ran into my room. I didn't know if I needed to be mad at her or Riker or both? I have no idea I am just confused.

She slammed my door and I ran to it and tryed to open it, but she had locked it. I knocked and said as calm as I could, "Ash, can I come in? I'm not mad at you..." I still don't know if I should be mad but I wanted to hear her explanation.

Then I heard her sobbing and then calmed down a little then let me in. She looked up at me and said, "So *sniffle* you want an explanation right?" I nodded at her and she began.

"I was walking down the stairs when I checked my phone and I ran into Riker and I almost fell and he caught me. Then he was looking into my eyes and leaned in and kissed me. Please don't be mad at me because it wasn't my fault." I looked at the door and thought about ways to get back at Riker.

She saw me looking and then said, "And please don't get mad at Riker. Just trust me that he knows what he did and I'm 100% sure he is regretting everything about what happened. Just please for me?" she asked whispering that last part.

She looked like she was about to start crying again when suddenly Riker came into the room and said, "Ross! I can explain everything that happened! Don't be mad at Ash because it wasn't her fault and she couldn't do anything about it and it was all my fault and..."

I looked at him and said, "Rik it's fine. I understand it was a mistake and it will never happen again, right?" He nodded and looked at me in disbelief and said, "Wow Ross, I can't believe you aren't mad and just... wow. Thanks bro."

I stood up and gave him a hug and then he said, "You are acting so mature about this. I'm happy that you aren't really mad like you usually get."

We let go of each other and he said, "Well I guess everything is good?" he looked over at Ash and saw her nod at him with a smile.

He continued, "Well that's great.I hope nothing happens between anyone because I know we all love each other and I hope this doesn't cause a problem in the future."

I felt Ash grab my hand and then I said to Riker, "No hard feelings bro! Now get outta here!" He said, "Fine, fine, I see you want some alone time with her." He winked at me then walked out of the room.

I looked at her as she said, "Are you sure you aren't mad? Cause you have every right to be!" I looked at her straight in the eyes and said, "I can't stay mad at someone who is as sweet as you!" Then I pecked her on the cheek and said, "Sooooooo do ya wanna go to the beach? Do ya? Do ya?"

"Even though that is tempting," she started, "you promised to help us move in." I sighed and said, "Alright, but I am taking you to the beach soon!" She smiled at me and gave me a hug. "Let's go!" she said dragging me out of the room.

I wonder how long it's going to take to unpack?
