So today I left for Vancouver Island. I was actually going to go to Williams Lake with my friend Kira(Kira_the_bookworm) but that got cancelled. The good news though is that I still might be going in a week. I left at 8:00am so I origanily wanted to wake up 7:00am but my sister,Isabel (kaiiunicorn449) woke me up at 6:30 and I didn't want to get up.
The ferry we took was going to Nanaimo so it was a 4 and a half hour drive to the fairy. My mom says it was really long and that it felt like 10:00 hours but I thought it was fine. I was reading most of the time so I guess thats why.
When we got to the place where you load the ferry my mom forced me to go to the little town but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. We arrived there two hours before the ferry was sopose to leave so it wasn't a total lost that I went to the village.
While we were on the ferry my mom bought me some gummy bears and we went on the deck. That was about it except when we were outside it was sooooo windy that I couldn't see eny thing. Also before we left I was outside and I could see 20 jelly fish and a few seals.
After about two hours and 30 mins on the ferry we finally got there. At 5:30pm we got to a motel. Even though I have lots of family on Vancouver Island we couldn't get there today.
Are motel was a 1 minute walk from the ocean so after brining are stuff to are room we went to the beach. We didn't get in are bathing suits so I just went up to my knees. I have to be honest and I've never actually swam in a ocean . I've diped my feet in but thats it. I was walking in and I was pretty far in when I saw a crab! I stepped back but then realised it wasn't doing me any harm. Isabel, anaïs( a friend from France) and me were sarowding the crab when it started moving towards me. Of all people me. I'm petrified of all living things in the ocean. Then out of no where a jelly fish came close to us. That was it I thought. I ran back to shore and didn't go back in.
Ps the crab was the size of 2 fingers and the jelly fish was the size of my fist.
After that we went and checked out these cool sand sculpture. They were taller then me. I can't really explained them very well so go on my sisters account to see them.
My mom and anaïs went to a farmer's market and I didn't want to go so my sister and me went back to are motel. The rest of the night was pretty boring because we went to the store witch I'm guessing you don't want me to ad details to then the same old boring night time ruteens and then bed.
That was the first day of my trip to Vancouver Island.
