Lyra Jackson was one of those people who kept getting thrown around in life. She was doomed from the start, born into the family she was. When they got sick of the useless baby they brought into the world, they threw her on the nearest door step and skipped town. 18 years of getting tossed from foster home to foster home, she suffered everything from abandonment, grief, abuse and even rape. At 24, she was graduated with a Doctor of Juridical Science and through many internships and hard work landed a job with a huge company making incredible money by making sure everything done through the company was legal and ethical, and could defend them in court if the need should ever arise. She took her life into her own hands, and never looked back.
Athen Creek was a powerhouse, raising himself from rags to riches. At 26, he was the founder of a billion dollar company. He came from a poor but loving family, that would do anything for him. He was determined to provide a comfortable life for his parents so that they would never have to worry about money again. When he lost his parents in a car accident at age 20, he threw himself into his work, more fueled than ever to become as successful as he could possibly be. 6 years later, he's one of the most successful men in California.
Known for more than just his hard work, he's also known for his incredibly good looks. Though he was the complete package that had every girl dreaming of him, he had never really had anything serious in his life. He was firm on the idea that he would not settle down with a girl unless he felt she was someone his parents would approve of, someone to support him and the company that he worked so hard for.
