skylar walked into stiles' hospital room to see how he was doing.
"how are you?" skylar asked as he looked up at her.
"turns out i have a concussion. how are you? actually, that was a dumb question." stiles asked her.
"i just found out my dad got murdered by my moms husband so..." skylar said as she let out a sad chuckle.
when she stopped laughing she started to cry. stiles walked over to her and wrapped his arms around her. he knew there was nothing he could say that could help her. she found out what really happened to her father and she couldn't do anything about it.
skylar started breathing heavily. she couldn't stop. her breathing was getting worse and worse.
"hey, skylar. clam down." stiles told her.
"j-just hold your breath, okay?" stiles told her.
skylar tried holding her breath but she couldn't do it. her chest was hurting more and more by the second.
stiles took a bold risk and grabbed her face. he pressed his lips on top of hers and he felt her hold in her breath. once they pulled away skylar just looked up at him.
she hadn't felt his lips on hers for months and she missed it. she missed stiles more than he'd ever know. she'd wake up at night and she would be upset that stiles wasn't sleeping beside her. she missed stiles more than she was willing to admit.
"i should- i should go home." skylar told him as he nodded.
"y-yeah. i'll see you later." stiles told her as she nodded.
before skylar could walk out she saw derek walk over to the door and he let out a breath.
"oh, thank god." derek said relieved to see skylar was okay.
skylar walked over to derek and hugged him tightly and he held her close.
"i'm so sorry you had to find out like this, i should've told you." derek replied.
skylar immediately pushed him off of her, anger boiling up in her. derek knew the truth this whole time but he never told her because he didn't want to see her reaction after.
"you knew and never told me! how could you!" skylar said pushing derek's chest.
"skylar, i didn't wanna see you hurt. i'm supposed to be the one protecting you." derek told her.
"i can't believe you did this, screw you! screw you! screw you." skylar said running out of energy since she was about to break down.
stiles couldn't believe how hard it was to watch skylar cripple like this, she's never been this emotional since her father's funeral.
