It was a dark, stormy, and overall bad night in London. The date was October 31, 1981, and many things were happening. Kids were dragging parents through the storm for trick-or-treating, teens were seen in groups heading to parties and the like, but two houses in London were not this carefree. The occupants of said houses could feel something in the air, something that told them darkness and war were coming. The two families, the Potters and the Longbottoms, were already scared and afraid for their children since a prophecy, one that could potentially cause Voldemort's downfall, was made regarding one of their children. Frank and Alice Longbottom, and their 1-year-old son, Neville, resided in one of these houses. The other house belonged to James and Lily Potter, and their twin 1-year-olds, Hadrian and Charles. It just so happened that only two of the were born at the end of July, which is a requirement for this prophecy, being "born as the seventh month dies". Neville was born on July 30, and Hadrian at 11:59 pm on July 31, while Charles was actually born at 12:02 am on August 1. Too bad the nurses' clock was off and she recorded that Charles was born at 11:58 pm July 31, and Hadrian was born at 11:55 pm. Otherwise this whole issue might've been avoided. The Potters and Longbottoms were both attacked on that stormy night. The Longbottom parents were tortured into insanity by Bellatrix Lestrange, while Neville was lucky enough to be away with his grandmother that night, which became his permanent residence after it was officially decided that Frank and Alice couldn't take care of him, you know, being insane and all. The Potters had a slightly opposite situation, where James and Lily were out on a date that night, and Hadrian and Charles stayed at the house with their grandparents, Charlus and Dorea. When they were attacked by Voldemort himself, Charles and Dorea fell to the Killing Curse, but oddly enough, the twins did not. When Voldemort came into the nursery, he saw one child with thick, ebony locks and bright emerald green eyes in a lithe frame with only slight baby fat, and the other with thinner, auburn hair and dull hazel eyes in a chubbier frame. Hadrian and Charles, respectively. Voldy cast the AK (AN: Avada Kedravra) at the green-eyed one, but something peculiar happened. The curse didn't hit Hadrian, but instead hit a golden shield and bounced back at Voldemort, where he perished on the spot. This achievement was all ruined by the roof collapsing and a piece of debris hitting Charles on his forehead. When everyone came to see the damage, meaning James, Lily, and Albus Dumbledore, they all saw the lightning bolt on Charles' forehead and assumed. They assumed they knew what had happened, not noticing the light golden, phoenix-shaped tattoo on Hadrian's upper back, right between his shoulder blades. Because of this one, seemingly small mistake, the world might not make it through the up and coming war.
