*****Lucas's POV*****
After I told my dad where I was going, I hopped in my car to go pick up Riley. 202, 204- 208! I stopped the car in front of her house and knocked on her door. The person that answered the door looked, surprised and very angry to see me. "Who are you?" She asked. "I am Lucas ma'am, Riley's friend. " " I am here to pick her up for our date." "She never told me she had a date today." "Where are you two going?" "The beach ma'am." "RILEY, GET READY TO GO THE BEACH WITH YOU LITTLE FRIEND AT THE DOOR!" Then I heard her shout, "Ok!"

*****Riley's POV*****
I am super excited to be released! I hate these hospital beds and they bring back bad memories. The Doctor then came in and said that we were ready to leave whenever, so I carefully go out of bed and asked if they could leave so I could get changed. "Mother" didn't leave before slapping me on the cheek, which was going to leave a mark for tomorrow. I slipped off the hospital gown and put on a shirt, pants, and my shoes. I folded the hospital gown and set it down on the bed before leaving. At home. I jumped out of the car, running into the house, jumping up the stairs to my room. I dived on to my bed before I heard the doorbell ring, talking at the door and then"RILEY, GET READY TO GO TO THE BEACH WITH YOUR LITTLE FRIEND AT THE DOOR!" "Ok!" I shouted. I ran into  my closet to find a cute bathing suit. I finally found one in the very back, a cute purple bikini with shapes and swirls . I stripped my clothes off and put this on. After that, I put on a cover up short dark purple dress. I got a towel, a sweatshirt, and put it into a bag, put some flip-flops on and ran out my bedroom door to see Mother talking to Lucas. She says something to him in a fake sweet voice and turns to me. I knew what was coming. Before I knew it I was on the floor, wincing at the tenderness of my cheek from Mother slapping me. " You didn't say anything about you having a date, you little brat!" " I'm sorry Mother, I forgot- Your lucky this time,so I'll let you go, but next time..."

Lucas's POV
I sit in the drivers seat of my BMW waiting for Riley to come out. Just then I hear a door slam and footsteps. I look up to see Riley walking towards the car and me. " Hey!" " Hi". " You ready?" "Yup!" She hoped in the passenger side of the car and I started the drive to the beach. At the beach. Riley and me were walking along the beach and she was looking down at her feet as she walked. I stared at her and thought, she is so cute. We set our bags down and She puts a sweatshirt and lies down on the sand. I do the same. " So, are you hungry?" " Yeah, I forgot to eat lunch today". " Close your eyes". I pull out of my bag a blanket, lasagna, plates, silverware, and a candle and set them up. I carefully lit the three candles and told her to open her eyes.
