MICKEYS POV I heard screams coming from outside our house and it sounded like pony screaming "Darry help" so me Darry, Sodapop, two-bit, Johnny and Steve ran outside.
I noticed that some socs were beating up pony boy. two-bit, Steve, and soda ran towards the socs and chased them to their car.
Then me and darry rushed over to pony boy kneeling next to him.
I noticed the gang trying to pull the socs out of the car.
Then the socs started driving away so dally decided to try and throw a stick at the back of the car when they drove off.
I looked back down at ponyboy concern washing over me.
Then Darry asked "didn't hurt you to bad did they?".
Seconds later soda came by us and kneeled down next to pony and me
"Hey pony" soda said grabbing ponys shoulders.

"They pull a blade on you"I said getting angry.
"Yea" pony said turning his head and it revealed a huge cut on his neck.
"They ain't gonna hurt you no more" soda said to pony.

When we were walking back Darry started yelling.
"Pony you were walking by yourself you don't ever think?" Darry lectured.
"All I did was walk home from the movies" pony defended.
"Movies and books, movies and books, I wish you could concentrate on something els just once in a while" Darry said to ponyboy.

Then soda joined in "why don't you concentrate on girls and cars that works for me." Soda said.
"Soda be quite" I said. "It's true" soda responded.
"He's 14"I argued.
"If you have to go by yourself you should of carried a blade"Darry lectured pony.
"Hey look I'll go with him from now on" I told Darry.
"If he carried a blade that would of been worse they could of cut him worse" I defended pony.
"Hey if I want my kid sister or kid brother to tell me what to do to my other kid brother I woulda asked alright kid brother and sister". Darry said
"Hey Mickey why does he always got to be like that?" pony asked me.
"He's just got more worries than he used to" I responded.
Then dally who was sitting on the hood of a car asked "how's the kid" then walked toward us.
"I'm fine " pony responded.
"What are you doing out of the cooler dal?" Pony asked dally.
" what are you doing walking by yourself " Steve said cutting him off and walking next to us.
"None of your business smarty" I replied for sticking up for ponyboy
"It is my business look at my nose" Steve yelled.
"hey dally how you doing?" I asked.
"Good got out early man on good behavior " dally responded to me.
"Hey Johnny man how you doing bro" dally said to Johnny behind soda.
"Things would be going a lot better if the socs stayed on the south side of town." Johnny said to dally.
"It's ok Johnny we're gonna rumble with them sooner or later" I told him putting my arm around his shoulders and ruffling his hair.
We all walked towards the house .
Then two bit said the funniest thing ever.
"What do you think about me becoming your personal body guard huh pony?" Two bit asked.
I then started busting out laughing.
"Yea right you can barely fight" I told two bit.
"Also I don't think it would be too hot of and idea" pony continued.
Then Steve butted in "I was thinking about you and Sylvia coming to the game with us"
"I wanna go" pony boy complained.
"We're taking Eve and sandy"soda told pony.
"Which means no kids allowed" Steve said.
"soda we are the same age" I said rolling my eyes. "well if you had a boyfriend you would be able to come also" soda said
I rolled my eyes at him
"No no no no I'm gonna go hunt some action kids are allowed" dally said.
"Ya well go with you won't we Mickey, ponyboy?" Johnny asked.
"I don't know dal" I said.
"We can't get in trouble with the fuzz or the Court will split us up for good" I told him.
"Hey who's looking for police trouble man we're just going to the movies like the good old days" dally told us.
Then I looked to see soda and Steve doing their handshake.
I rolled my eyes smirking at then
Two bit laughed also
"Hey if I don't get to drunk I'll join y'all" two-bit said .
Then I heard Steve say "check this out".
I looked to see Steve do a front flip off the car but didn't land properly.
I laughed.
Two-bit got in his car.
"Wanna give me a push start?" He asked. pony and I got behind the car and pushed.
