Terrified. There was no other emotion that could describe what I was feeling right now.I always knew this moment was coming, but until now it always felt like something surrealistic.
However, it was real. More than real, and the dead silence filling the black van driving us from the airport into Seoul only confirmed that even more.
After Hoseok's warning we had quickly come together in the mansion to discuss the matter. First we had to overcome the shock of Hoseok being in danger, but then we quickly came to the conclusion to follow his advice and make our way to Seoul to stop The Libertas.
Of course, we had no idea what to do exactly, since the only information we had was the date and time the attack would take place. On top of that, Seoul was a big fucking place, so it would be difficult to be at the exact location of attack. Luckily, Namjoon was able to get his hands on the server of the government's secret agency, knowing that they'd be the first to notice a strange occurrence in the city. We'd keep track of their notices and head to the destination of attack when the time had come.
To prevent the gas from taking the bender ability away from the boys and me, Jin had gotten six special, light gas masks that they sometimes used in the labs when working with hazardous gasses. We would put these on before leaving our hideout towards the attacks.
Other than this we could only briefly discuss a strategy of attack, which remained slightly vague as we couldn't take the surroundings and number of attackers in account. For now, Yoongi would lead, Jimin, Jungkook and Taehyung helping him in the attack. I would follow in the middle, and Namjoon and Jin would cover me from behind.
As Hoseok had suspected, we also received a message from his number that same night, simply stating his location in Peru with an attached file. This file was a picture of him tied up onto a chair, a seething expression on his face as he looked into the camera. Shortly after the first text a second one followed, asking the boys to hand me over in exchange.
We had ignored the message and left the same night, making sure we'd be in Seoul on time. Luckily, it wasn't hard to get Lantford to allow us to leave campus without telling them our exact reasons. For all they knew we were going on a trip to Canada to attend an annual advanced bending workshop. They were confused as to why I was tagging along as well, but agreed when Yoongi explained it would be very informative for me to improve my fire bending skills. I told Krystal, Yuta and Baekhyun the same lie, making them narrow their eyes in suspicion when I bid my goodbyes a little bit too emotionally, but they let it slide.
We still had a day to prepare now and set up the server. We would stay in a secret hideout thanks to Namjoon again. It was the safe-house for his father if there'd be a situation that would put him into danger, but according to Namjoon he hadn't used it for some time now. Hopefully he wouldn't decide to pay it a visit the following days, since he wasn't aware of our whereabouts either.
No one was.
"Are you okay?" Jungkook asked softly while giving my hand a gentle squeeze.
I gave him a small smile in response after nodding my head. "I guess I've been better, but I'm okay. Just a bit anxious. I'm so worried about Hoseok." I whispered, my voice breaking at the end of the sentence, giving away how scared and stressed I actually felt.
"Try not to worry, Gabi." Taehyung spoke from behind me as he reached over to give my shoulder a reassuring squeeze. "Hoseok will get through this, I know he will. He's a tough one to crack." He smiled broadly again, but his eyes failed to sparkle the way they did normally when showing off his pearly whites.
"I hate to admit it, but the kid is right though." Yoongi croaked from the back seat, waking up from a brief nap. "If anyone of us would get through this, it's Hoseok. We'll just have to focus on stopping the Libertas and kicking their ass for now." He paused to crack his knuckles. "It's been a while since I've had a proper fight. I'm more than ready to burn them down to ashes." He paused to grin sadistically. "And then piss all over them."
