The silence before the storm was killing me.
We were sitting in the dark living room of the safe-house that was located underground, listening to the secret service's server in anticipation.
We had gone through our limited strategy again this morning, before changing into our dark cameo-pants and black turtlenecks, the gas masks attached to our belts. Namjoon had even been able to get us small ear-devices, allowing us to communicate if we had to split up.
Everyone had been silent and tense this morning. Not even Taehyung dared to joke around to change the tight atmosphere.
After I had confessed to Jungkook about my parent's true background, he had let out a loud, frustrated groan before letting the tears escape his eyes.
Everything now made sense to him, and at first he seemed relieved.
Then, after letting his emotions out, he turned angry about the fact I kept it for myself. He said it was crucial information, and could put the boys into danger if I wouldn't tell them. I had protested at first, but then I realized he was right. My shame wasn't worth it if something were to overcome the other boys. It wouldn't be worth the risk.
We had gotten the boys together after he managed to persuade me, and I had explained the situation to everyone.
My parents and brother were the leaders of the Libertas, and there was a fat chance they'd be at the battle today.
The boys had been shocked at first, but they all seemed to understand I had kept it for myself and appreciated that I had told them after all. Eventually, we decided to stick to the plan, and Yoongi would probably be most likely to help me out if the situation would come I'd have to take them out.
Ever since, everyone except Jungkook appeared to be extra caring towards me, making sure I was doing fine. It made me feel a mix of emotions though. A part of me appreciated it, but it also made it seem they pitied me, which I wasn't too comfortable with.
Jungkook on the other hand, still seemed angry with me. I was wondering if it might have something to do with me ignoring his love confession instead of keeping my family's true nature behind his back.
If I'd have to be totally honest, I wasn't entirely sure myself why I hadn't been able to say it back, because I did.
I really did.
I just wasn't sure it'd be smart to let him know that just now. What if something would happen in Seoul, or I would let him down? I hadn't seen my family for over a year now, and wasn't sure how I'd react if I'd come face to face with them again.
It would make it easier for him to get over me if he thought I didn't love him, was my logic.
I held my breath as a voice came through the speaker radio, a hint of panic in the person's voice.
"This is agent SK009. There seems to be a suspicious group in Gagnam, coordinates. They're with about 30 people, carrying various weapons and what appear to be gas bombs. Please send some men. I repeat, send some men to. Over"
"Right." Yoongi spoke when white noise filled the radio speakers again. "Only 30 of those amateurs, we can easily handle that. Let's go." He eagerily stood up, but Namjoon quickly pulled him down as the radio started to crackle again. This time, another voice spoke. However, this person sounded much more distressed.
"Agent SK067 here. A group of about 50 armed individuals just entered the Olympic park, coordinates. They just overmastered security, who for some reason seems unable to bend. They're now heading towards the arena where they're currently holding the annual team bending matches. Send help now. I repeat, send help. Over."
"Fuck." Yoongi mumbled as Namjoon let out a groan.
Jimin's eyes widened in fear as he watched his hyungs."What now?" He asked softly.
"Right, there's not much time." Jin spoke calmly. "So I propose we split up. Jungkook, Gabrielle and I will go to Gagnam since the group of attackers there is smaller. Yoongi, you lead the team of Jimin, Namjoon and Taehyung to the stadium." He sighed softly before continuing. "Hopefully we can stop them before too many benders lose their ability."
My eyes widened as all the boys hummed in agreement. "What, split up?" I asked in panic. It was already going downhill.
"Don't worry, Gabi." Yoongi turned towards me to give one of his rare, gummy smiles. "We'll be fine. We can keep contact through our earpieces, remember?" He pointed towards his ear while all the other boys stood up too.
Namjoon paused to give each of us a reassuring and determining look in the eye. "Let's get moving. The agents sounded quite stressed, so I'm assuming it's quite full on. Let's go and stop those crazy bastards."

Chaos.
Absolute chaos was what we were met with when we arrived at the site in Gagnam.
People were screaming, crying, and trying to get as far away as possible from the people marching through the streets wearing white masks, throwing around gas-bombs and hitting forces with their weapons, overmastering them easily now they couldn't bend.
"Shit, gas masks." Jin told us as he walked out in front of us, leading the way. "We'll take out the left wing first." Jin told us after we put on our masks.
I took one last breath before we ran up towards them, dodging a bomb before latching out and hitting one of them with lightening while Jungkook managed to take two out with a hit of his sticks and Jin froze five unexpected attackers at the front.
Only 12 to go, I thought to myself as the agents were now finally able to tie up the attackers and take them away.
It was easy.
Almost too easy.
I narrowed my eyes in suspicion as I took out another three attackers with a bit of earth-bending, sending a big block of earth against their frames.
However, as I heard Jin cheer in triumph and turned my attention towards the last five people, I wasn't able to see the person approaching me from behind.
The last thing I saw before the blow hit my head was Jungkook turning around with his eyes scrunched up, indicating him to wear a large grin on his face after taking out the last rebels.
However, his smile quickly fell down as his eyes widened at something behind me.
Then it was black.
