Months went by.
Years went by.
They graduated university.
Got their own jobs.
Nathan and Brooke got married in the fourth year of university.
And Claire and Luke got married six months later.
Sam and Haley were just waiting for the right time.
Haley and Sam met for coffee one morning. Then they went out for a walk. It was beautiful outside. It was just spring and there where new leaves. And flowers. And butterflies all around.
They walked for a long time. Haley held Sam's arm and kept her head on his shoulder.
Haley : It's so beautiful out here. Damn. Reminds of the high school years to be honest.
Sam : Yeah! Those were some days!
Haley : I am so glad I shifted here.
Sam : Not more than me.
Sam shot a smile looking down at her and kissed her forehead softly.
Sam : Oh shit. I almost forgot to ask you.
Haley : Ask me what?
Sam : You free tomorrow evening?
Haley : Yeah. Why ?
Sam : I wanna take you to my grandmas old house.
Haley : Oooo!!! That one we went to one day? That big duplex inside the garden ??
Sam : Yeah!
Haley : OMG!!! I love that place!
Sam : You know, we can have some dinner. And spend some time there.
Haley : O yeah. But It's one hour away
Sam : Yeah. But it's gonna be worth it.
Haley : We'll stay till dinner ? That long?
Sam : I think we'll need the time.
Sam gave her a mischievous look.
Haley : Okayyy.
Haley was confused.
Sam : O and get dressed. Like maybe a dress. You'll wanna look fancy.
Haley : You gonna do a photoshoot there ?
Haley started laughing.
Sam : A very special one indeed.
Sam smiled.
Haley put her head on his shoulder again.
After reaching home, she called Brooke and Claire home. And told them about the whole plan of tomorrow
Haley : Isn't it weird to get dressed for dinner ? I wonder what Sam is up to.
Haley gave them a confused look.
Brooke and Claire looked at each other.
Brooke : Umm. Noo. You know . He just wants some good pictures I guess.
Claire nodded with a weird smile.
Haley : You guys are acting weird.
Brooke: Noo. Come on. It's normal. It's fun. Getting dressed and taking pictures. Why you so confused ??
Haley : Okay okay. Right. Which one ?
She held a blue dress in one hand and a black one in another.
Brooke : Black.
Claire : Definitely black.
Haley : Black it is !!
That night Sam texted her at 12:00
Sam: Hey gorgeous!
Haley : Hey goofball! What's up?
Sam: Nothing much. Just thinking of you ❤️
Haley :Trying to be romantic huh? 😂
Sam: Lol. Kind of. Okay listen. I have some stuff to do with the guys tomorrow. So you probably won't get me online much. I'll come at 5:00 and pick you up. Okay ?
Haley : Okay.
Sam : Night babe. Sleep tight. I Love you
Haley : Love you too
The next day Sam was out all day with the other guys. Who knew what they were doing.
Haley got up. Went as per her usual routine.
She was excited about tonight.
Then she started getting ready. She wanted to look pretty. Wore the black dress and some high heels. Put on some earrings. And her mom's bracelet. She loved wearing that bracelet to special places.
