Stevie POV

I was suddenly awoken with the urge to throw up. It's definitely not good to eat pizza two weeks in a row.

I cleaned myself up and ate some breakfast (more like cold pizza). This house made me sick just even looking at it, making me throw up again. I threw on some clothes and decided to ask the neighbors for some medicine. Jack told me the only place I could go to leave the house was to go to them, since he "trusts them" or something.

The proposal probably helped.

I knocked on the door, seeing Louie in the window. A tall girl with long hair opened the door.

"Hi...?" She said/asked, holding Louie back by the collar.

"Hey. I'm the neighbor." I said, pointing to our house.

Ew.

"I'm Caroline, Linda's daughter." She replied with a wide grin.

"I'm just here for some medicine, is your mom around?" I asked, peeking around her. The house seemed pretty empty.

"No she's at the store. I can get you some."

I followed her into the house and into the kitchen. She grabbed some ibuprofen from the medicine cabinet.

"I'm sorry, I never caught your name." Caroline said with a giggle.

"Lauren." The name made me cringe, and I hesitated telling her my real name.

We ended up sitting on the couch, sipping on coffee and catching up. I had to leave out a lot of detail, and had to lie a little bit. I really like Caroline, she could make me laugh, which was rare these days.

"Hey, want to go to the mall? I need to get some bikinis for the summer." Was it already summer? I've been gone almost a year. Wow.

"Sure!" I replied. I finally have a friend.

"Do these make my thighs look big?" Caroline whined. She looked over herself in the mirror, staring at her thighs in a beautiful pale blue bikini bottom.

"What are you talking about? That looks gorgeous on you!"

"No, I have thunder thighs!" She replies with a jump to demonstrate her "jiggle".

"Well I think you look amazing in blue."

"Thanks!" She replies with a smile. She proceeds to buy two new swimsuits, and takes the receipt from the cashier.

We go to Target so we can buy her feminine products.

Which reminds me...

I take out my new iPhone (curtesy of my terrible roommate) and go on my period app.

Menstrual cycle starts in: -10 days

What?

"Hey Caroline, what's that supposed to mean?" I flash her my phone.

"Ooh! I have the same app! It means you were supposed to start 10 days ago!"

I shoot her a look of confusion.

"I'm normally regular..."

She just gasps and grabs my hand. She drags me further down the isle to the Birth Planning section.

No. No way.

She grabs a box of pregnancy tests and throws them into the cart.

"I am not pregnant! I'm just late!" I argue (more to myself)

"Better safe than sorry. Weren't you sick today?"

More like all week.

OMG.

I shakily sit on the edge of the tub, looking at the tiny screen.

"It's going to be fine. So you and Jim, huh?" She says wiggling her eyebrows.

Gag.

Beep!

I feel bile rise up my throat as I grab the pregnancy test. Caroline squeezes my hand.

"What does it say?" She asks, squeezing my hand tighter.

Positive.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Ooh I've been waiting to write this chapter for a while. It's really confusing with all the fake names ahhhh.

Caroline has thunder thighs.

I've decided not to give myself a schedule on when to update, so expect random updates.

SHES PREGNANT!!!
