Chapter 25

"That was great Maura." Abi said smiling at my Mum. We had just finished the amazing breakfast that she had made. I smiled fondly at Abi.
"Thank you." She smiled. "And I'm off to work, uh, you guys going to be okay here?" She questioned.
"Uh yeah? Why wouldn't we be?" I asked just wanting her to leave. Not that's she's annoying or anything, I just want to be alone with Abi.
"Just making sure baby." She said walking over and kissing my cheek. "I'll be back later."
I nodded and smiled at her as she made her way out the door. I looked over at Abi who was picking at her nails, biting her lip softly.
I have the same feeling that I did when I first learned how to ride a bike. At first you keep falling down- getting scraped up. That's how it felt all these years trying to make a move on Abi. I kept failing, and failing, I could never get it right. Finally its like I took the training wheels off. Finally I took the risk.
And I couldn't be happier.
"What?" She asked wiping her face.
"Uh?" I said confused.
"Why are you staring at me?" She said wiping at her face again.
I reached over the table and took both of her hands away from her face and held them in my own not wanting to loose any contact.
"Nothing." I laughed. "I was just thinking babe."
She looked as if she was going to say something but didn't.
"What?" I asked.
"Nothing." She said.
"What were you going to say?"
"Ugh- Niall." She ripped her hands away from mine. "Its weird."
"Everything you say is weird." I smirked at her taking her hands and putting them back where they belong- in mine.
She sighed. "I was gonna say that- that-" She sighed again. "Do you like me?"
I looked at her an scoffed. "Of corse I like you?"
"Okay."
"Why did you ask?" I questioned squeezing her hands lightly.
"I don't know. I just had some sort if feeling that you just felt sorry for me or something. Because Jakob and all."
"Niall-"
I looked up at her.
"Let go of my hands before you break them." She said trying to hide the evident pain.
"Baby- I'm so sorry." I let go quickly.
"It's fine." She said rubbing her hands together.
I sighed quickly and shook my head.
"Hey"
"What?" she asked.
"Go out with me. Tonight." I said.
She looked up and smiled. "Yeah. That sounds great."
"And it will be babe." I winked.

"You'll be fine." She laughed at me.
"Maddy." I whined. I put my cell phone on speaker and set it down so I could get dressed. I walked over to my closest and groaned. "What do I even wear?"
"Woah, woah, woah." She laughed. "You're actually stressing about your outfit?"
"Yes I have to look descent!" I yelled.
"Niall- you could wear a neon yellow shirt and purple pants and she would still think you looked hot."
"Shut up." I mumbled.
"Where guys going anyway?" She asked.
I hummed in response pulling on my pants.
"Oo not telling huh?" She giggled.

Sorry for these small- late updates. After school every day it have drivers ed-- till 4:30. :( But that's only for tomorrow and next week then it's over so the updates will be back in track.
