I did it! I passed my Grade 3 Ballet Exam! I can finally go on pointe, provided that my discussion with my dance teacher goes well, but why shouldn't it? I listen to her, practise, do everything I should so I see no reason for it to not go to plan...
It's unreal, I am as happy as my parents are proud (and that is a lot if I do say so myself - and I did.) My life's dream since age 3 is to be on pointe. I have watched so many ballets and wished I could be as graceful as they are. I have always aspired to take centre stage, as Galina Ulanova once did, in Romeo and Juliet: The Ballet.
Ever since I began learning ballet (age 5) I knew that it was my future, my heart and soul. It became my life. If ballet didn't work for me then I would be useless, I would end up making coffee for famous people (like Becca did in Pitch Perfect 2, one of my all time favourite films, but at least she had a chance) I would be a hopeless case. Should I be 'incapable' of moving to pointe for whatever reason, I would have to be a geography teacher - parents' choice. It's not that I have anything against geography. I really like it, especially because of our teacher, Miss Kain. Geography doesn't even conpare to centre stage ballet, however (or any ballet for that matter!)
