Chapter 1. New Neighbor
I slowly walked towards my crush, Jake. My toes curled digging into my shoes. My fingers scratched my floral skinny jeans, which weren't skinny on me. Should I do it? Just because my best friend, well only friend, dared me to doesn't mean I should. Just to prove I wasn't chicken. I mean I wouldn't jump off a cliff just to prove I wasn't chicken. I got even closer to the guy with shaggy blond hair, tall but not too tall. Cute in every way, no mistakes. All just perfectness.
I slowly tapped Jake's shoulder as he put things away in his locker. I reached out and tapped his shoulder, well it was too late now.
I put things away into my locker when i felt a light poke on my shoulder, thinking it was my best friend and locker partner i rolled my eyes and spun around abruptly. "What?" But it wasn't my friend, it was someone very different who i would of never guessed or expected. It was Ezra.
I knew this girl, not much at though. She had poof-ed up hair, she said it was scene hair. It was black with purple blotches here and there. There was cool things that i admire about this weird odd girl. It was that, she didn't care. She didn't care if you thought she was ugly, if you talked about her behind her back. Or if you thought she was a weird girl. Though she was also very surprising, and unpredictable. Like if you walked up to her and called her ugly she could do one out of these three things, Shrug and ignore you, most likely, Slap you and call you, most likely not, or just thank you or say okay.
"Sorry. I thought you were someone else." I really did, it wasn't a lie. I turned around and closed my locker and looked back at her questioningly. what'd she want? "Oh.. M-me too..." She fiddled with her fingers.
"Well, i gotta get to my class before i'm late.. so-" I was looking away when i talked to her as she interrupted me.-"Me too.... Bye." She spun around and walked off quickly. Oh no! I just had a conversation with Ezra. The weird kid... Great, i had to cover up before anyone noticed.
" see yeah static brain!" I called after her. She looked back and ran off. That should do it.. I walked off into the hallways to get to class. As I walked to 6th period which was cooking and sewing, i felt a sharp pain in my shoulder, I knew who it was though for sure because I saw from the corner of my I eye. It was Toby, my best friend. Oh i hope he didn't see me talking to her. He for sure would make me the laughing stalk of the day, even though it was almost over.
I spun around jabbing him in the neck. "ow! Watch it!" he rubbed the back of his neck like I hit him hard. I continued walking to class and he walked by my side. "That'll teach ya' not to mess with people. He bumped me into the wall lightly. "Hey!"
"Nope, still haven't learned." he snickered. I rolled my eyes as I opened my class room door. I was about to walk in but Toby did before me. "What a gentlemen!" I rolled my eyes. "Sure am." I burped into his ear making sure no one else could hear. "Gross!" He waved his hand in front of his nose because of the stench. "What'd you eat!?"
"Boys. Maybe you should stop burping in each others faces and have a seat." The teacher snapped as the whole class laughed a little. I rolled my eyes and sat in my seat. "Mr.Hendrickson, do you need to go to the nurses office because i think there's something wrong with your eyes. They rolled and just won't hold still."
