Chapter 3: Show Who You Are Truly

At his name being called, Jacob, with tears in his eyes at Gwen's whimpering, had straightened his back. He looked out of the hiding spot and slightly motioned for the others to follow them as more yelling could be heard. He whispered to his friends the following, "We need to get weapons..We have to surprise the enemy." The children then snuck over to the weaponry, where all weapons were kept. Immediately, Gwen's demeanor changed and she was happily grinning while grabbing a handgun, giggling. What would you expect from a child of Patryck and Paul? What a facade..
Nonetheless, the kids, even Samuel, got guns and quietly snuck out to the front. Damian motioned for them to follow him and so they soon were outside, completely outnumbered now due to more people showing up while they were hiding, then getting weapons. Edd was the leader of the resistance, and right now they had Matt in their grasp. Jacob's blue eyes lost light them as he raised his handgun, yelling, "Let my fucking father go or we all shoot!" At this, everyone looked at them and noticed all kids had guns. Tom seemed to smirk at this and stepped aside to let Damian and the others close while his hands became on his monster form and so did Tim's. They stood near the children on both sides, Damian pointing his rifle directly at Edd's head as he soon hissed, "You better let him go."
Edd seemed somewhat surprised at the children holding guns and slowly let go of Matt, the ginger rushing to his friend, Tom and going near him, standing. However, he soon raised his hands some and looked directly at his own son, softly asking this, "Don't you remember me?"
The tall freckled brunette shook his head, only for Edd to sigh. "..My own son doesn't even remember me?" He asked, telling him who he was a final time, only for Jacob to lighten up some and slightly put down his gun. "Wait..Mom?" He asked, confused and not knowing if this was a ruse or not. However, the nod he got made him shocked.
"Yeah..It's me, Jacob..fuck, you've grown you know?" He said quietly, only to try to approach but someone in his resistance pulled him back and told him to remember this was the enemy. His..own son was the enemy. He had to remember that.
Alain then stepped forwards, her black eye now showing as she raised her own rifle that was like Damian's. "Look..Despite being the enemy..I'll let you all go if you stop bothering my friend over there. Leave now, or there'll be a full out war, asshole. Now fucking go!" She hissed the last part out, making Edd sneer and say, "I'll come back for you Jacob..Don't think I won't." and then turn to leave, his subordinates following him quickly. This made the female shifter calm down so everyone put down their weapons. Damian still casually motioned for his friends and brother to follow him, and they had, going back to the weaponry room to put away the guns. Now, that was rather eventful...

Later within the day, Alain was outside again with Damian, both of them half in their monster form and glaring at one another as Tom and Tim watched over their fight to see who was stronger. In the end, Alain was due to being older and taller, which was funny since she was also a female. The females seemed to be a more dominant gender Tom had noted as well, since Alain seemed naturally tall and maybe..This was the first female of the monsters. He then went over to Alain and complimented her, taking notes quite literally. They were doing experiments on the children of shifters, including both of his own sons, since they needed to figure out the species. So far, there could be winged ones and ground ones. This means one who would claim the sky and one who would claim the ground. Alain was one of the sky, which seemed to only he females as the males were ground ones. He sighs out softly and looked at his niece, patting her head. "You're doing good, Alain. I'm proud you're taking this so well despite blood tests, things being injected, and fights between people. I'm proud."
Even Tim said he was proud and seemed truly serious. Nonetheless, once the training was done and enough notes were taken, he requested to see their monster forms, and once the two children had done what he was asked, he wrote down each difference between male and female. Male was more buff and can be faster and such, but the females were stronger and despite looking graceful and fast, couldn't run as fast unless in human form with enhanced abilities. He then smiled and once the children had went back into their human form, he praised both of them quietly, writing down some more things before handing the papers to Tim. His brother then went inside and went to give the notes to RL. This was the progress so far and he was proud he started such powerful beings as a true species.
So after this, they were led to the lab to get some blood taken from and give the usual things checked to see if everything was going fine and the kids were healthy. Once that was done, Tom gently led his son out while Tim did the same for his daughter. Both fathers were proud of their children, and honestly, so were their other fathers. Especially Tord though, since Damian was strong and trying his best to be as strong as possible. He wanted for them all to try their best truly, and that's what all kids were doing. However..As they walked their separate ways to brig their children to their rooms, Alain thought of something.
'What's it like outside of the base?' Once she thought this, her path of misery began and so did Jacob's..Because their fates were entwined, and no one could stop them.
For this was to be a secret no one should know.
