The day started out like any other day in the small Japanese town. Every adult woke up at the same time to go to the same place; The Ramen House

The Ramen House was where everyone worked. Unless you moved out of the town and went to college and got a job in the big city. But here in the small unknown town of Wakapakatingah, your were lucky if you could get out of town; out of life long enslavement.

Lucy Valesco had generations upon generations of noodle house workers. It was family tradition. The Valesco's were the only family that had never had  someone leave to the outer world. Lucy had every intent of being the first one out, despite it removing her from everything and everyone she has ever loved and known. She only needed one person with her though; Valerie Hutchinson.

The Hutchinsons were known for leaving this small unknown town in search of something more. But Val and Lucy had an upper advantage. They were the only ones to leave the town and come back without being noticed. They knew how to leave once they graduated school at the top of their class; which in its self would give them more of a chance to leave.

"Lucinda Grace Valesco if you do not get down here right now we will be late for school." Screamed Valerie at her bestfriend.

Being on time was of upmost importance to the pair seeing as they needed to show they were ready for something more.

"Geez Val chill out. We have 15 minutes until we have to be there." Lucy sighed

"Spoken like a true normie." Val responded using the term they called the kids and adults who didn't want anything more than this factory life.

"Val, in 15 minutes it's 15 minutes until school starts. That means we have 30 minutes until school starts." Lucy sharply responded.

Val nodded her head and the two continued walking to the school which was extremely secluded from the town. Most kids dropped out in high school because why bother when you could go to the factory. There was only one teacher for that was all they could afford. All the other fundings went to the factory. Every house was the same. Some were larger only for the sake of a large family. Once you couldn't work in the factory you were sent to the retirement complex. But today these girls were in the small school which only small portions of fundings went to.

"Hey Lucy." Whispered a boys voice.

"Oh hey Zander. You're here early." Lucy responded awkwardly. Guys have had crushes on her but none had come to school this early for her.

"Oh just ya know studying." He stutters.

The girls of and head to their table in the front left corner of the room. It was quite close to the chalk board but not directly in front of it. The chairs were not of the best quality but they would have to do for the girls and the year they had left, though they should have four. Soon the bell rang and the announcements began. It was the same thing at the factory. Everyone clocked in and a bell rang and announcements were given.

"Good morning students. Today we will start with who has left us this week. Only one this week. Lucinda Grace Valesco."

Authors Note: Hey, it's Kam. This is my first story so it will probably suck. So here is the rundown for what my plans are structure wise. Each chapter will be at least 500 words long without an authors note. I will release at least a chapter a week most likely on Sunday . Probably two a week until school starts. Thanks to anyone who is reading this story. Please leave honest opinions. ~Kam💕
