A/N So this is a short chapter, but I'm going to start getting the ball rolling.

"So," Evan seemed to want to say something, but didn't know how to put it. It took about five minutes before he spoke again. "So, I know this might sound weird, but I can stay longer if you would like. Or I could just answer my phone whenever you call. So it's less weird, you know."
I laughed slightly. "Honestly, I wouldn't care either way. I have known you long enough I can tell you aren't going to kill me. If you want to stay, then by all means, stay. If not, you aren't hurting my feelings any."
Twenty minutes later, Evan walked in my door with five suitcases. All I could do was laugh. "What? Too much?" I laughed some more. I couldn't help it. It was cute. "If I seem too much, I'm sorry."
A slight smile came to my face. Trying to be modest. Then another thought came to my head. I'll give him a chance if he wants to take it. Maybe Sarah was right. "Evan , I don't think you could ever be too much. You're perfect the way way you are." I blushed. Nice, just keep running your mouth.
I had just finished loading the washer and dryer when the pounding came again. Evan had somewhere to go, so I was alone. I went to see if I knew who was at the door. Opening the door slowly, I saw no one was there. Oh no. Not again. I shut and locked the door and ran up to my room where my phone was. I texted Evan. It happened again. The door unlocked shortly after and I ran to the stairs.
"Leaving you alone is going to be harder than I thought. I'm honestly shocked this guy came in broad daylight, though. Risky move, doing that." Evan wrapped his arms around me by the time I reached the bottom of the stairs. "Come on. I have some movies and stuff for dinner. Let's try to get you relaxed."
A/N Like I said before, short chapter and I am going to get the ball rolling. Now I realize after this is the way it is that it seems a little sexist. I just want to point out that it is not supposed to be. Yes she is female. Yes she is basically depending on Evan to keep her safe. Honestly, though, if something like this happened to me, I would be scared too. She lives alone at sixteen because her parents were killed three years prior and someone is pounding on her door and disappearing when she gets there. Evan is offering to help her and it's the first time in three years that someone is there for her in her house. No one but Sarah wants to be there. Her aunt has her own house and wouldn't be at this house anyways because she is at the diner. So the fact she runs to Evan is because he is a comfort to her. She is a strong young woman and would take care of herself if she had to (like if Evan wasn't there), but since Evan is there, she is allowing him to help her and she is grateful for it.
