Avoiding the Heroine and Capture Targets!

Prologue

For a person holding the position of supreme commander of Arcadia kingsom, the behavior of Luther Steinhart right now is quite awkward for a feared commander in the battlefield. His soldiers in the army will be shocked if they saw the fear and cowardice reflecting in the usually gallant face of their commander.

Supreme Commander Luther Steinhart faced the legion of the neighboring kingdom and swarm of monsters invading Arcadia kingdom but he's now nervously gazing at the lone child sitting in the root of the huge tree at the back of the orphanage. For Luther this is the most challenging task he ever done in his twenty-five years of life, fighting might be easier for him than approaching that child.

Sweat covers his back and he slightly trembles when the kid turn to his direction.

'Luther, you can do this! Compare to when you fight the ogres this is, is, is,' he halt his steps again. 'I can't do this!' He kept over thinking things, full of 'what-ifs' scenario.

The child felt frustrated waiting for this pathetic-looking adult to approach him. If not for this young man always leaving all sorts of small treats and toys for him he would have call for the orphanage director to chase away this weirdo. "Big bro, is there any problem?," he asked Luther as he approach.

"Hii!!," Luther almost jumped in fright when the child walked near him unknowingly, "I-i-i-i-i'm not a b-b-bad person," he immediately explain in case he scared the kid away. Certainly for a bad guy to panic like this is comical.

"I know. But you're always staring at me."

"I-i-it's because I-i-i'm- a government official," he really wants to smack himself on how pathetic he is acting right now. 'I'm so embarrassing!'

The kid stares suspiciously at this 'government official'. "Let me bring you to the office of the director."

"Can I hold your hand?," despite knowing how weird he is acting right now. Luther reason out that he is not good with directions so they might got separated. Really. When the area property of the foster home is not that even big for you to get lost.

Luther nervously explains his purpose to the director and after that, let the child enter the office as well.

"Ashe," the director gently called this poker-faced child,"this handsome young man here is a commander of Arcadia kingdom . . . he is-."

"Wants to adopt you!," the young man shouted. Realizing his mistake, he coughed and tried to imitate the gentle way of speaking of the director but ends up with a distorted expression instead, "I want to adopt you as my heir." Afraid to the reaction of Ashe, he quickly flee from the director's office but not after saying ,"My assistant will handle all the necessary matters."

The director laugh at coward appearance of 'Fierce Supreme Commander Luther' and an unnoticeable smile blossom in the expressionless child.

"Director," Ashe called this gentle grandma ,"can I ask you a favor?"
