Mercy? ~ 10

Recap: Shawn would just stand in the back and look down, not wanting to hear about it. Tyler said he was going to bring me something and went down to the cafeteria. I was just left with Shawn.  I closed my eyes once Tyler left, hoping for the time to go by quick.

It was two minutes. Two minutes exactly since Tyler left and I had my eyes closed the whole time. Ignoring Shawn. After those two minutes I felt the far end of my bed get heavier.

"You okay?" He said quietly. I could tell he was taking it hard on himself. I just nodded and he stayed quiet, still not looking at him I remained still.

"I wish that never happened." He said calmly while I sat there listening. "I know it's my fault and it makes it worse."

He sees I don't respond so he continues after a heavy sigh. "It tears me apart to see you like this" he said then rubbed my knee. I open my eyes and sit up, taking a glance at the leg which was hurt. My right leg. It was elevated and I had forgotten about how bad it was. "It's okay" he says, "It's not broken". Dance flashes through my head and I panicked even more thinking of how I'll have to sit out.

"I know...." Replies Shawn. He already knows what I'm thinking. "Dance will have to wait for your own good".

One single tear fell down my cheek. I didn't mean to cry again, I'm getting tired of crying. I felt him scoot closer to me and his big hand adjusted my head and wiped my tear. "You are so strong.. everyone said so....you'll be okay". Something felt close to my face so I opened my eyes to look at him for once and his face was there. It looked like he was observing something.

His face didn't look too worried like he had been earlier. His features were softer. "How's your head feeling?" I looked into his eyes, knowing he wanted me to feel better and talk to him.
I didn't feel like fighting right now but I wanted to answer him. I didn't feel the need to give him emotion. I won't give him a hint of what I feel towards him. Disappointed. Sad. Broken.

"It's fine" I replied quietly. Those being my first works to him. I started playing with my bracelet they gave to me in the hospital in hopes to distract myself and not look at him.

"Laur?" He asked, waiting for me to acknowledge him. I simply looked at his hair, not his eyes and tilted my head in a questioning manner. "I'm sorry. I need to make it up to you. Please?" I thought about how he stepped outside with Will and I wanted to find out why. But I will later. "How?" Is all I managed to choke out.
He smiled softly and leaned in a bit.
-"LAUREN THE DOCTOR IS.."
Moises walked in and stopped talking when he saw Shawn.
Shawn got up and stroked my hair and nodded. He then stepped outside to get away from my brother.
"What was that?" He asked when I replied with "that was Shawn." He received my reply with a chuckle and rolled his eyes. "Well, this is the Doctor. Dr. Salicido, he's just gonna Check up on you". I smiled and nodded, After he checked me and left Moises sat down next to me. "Hey ogre, there are two guys out there waiting to talk to you". I looked to see if I could catch a glimpse and I saw Shawn's maroon hoodie and Tyler's dark green shirt. "Hey prick, tell Tyler to come in" I said as I adjusted the bed. "Okay ogre but make sure I don't see Shawn all over you like that next time." I simply rolled my eyes and flashed a fake sickening sweet smile. Moises informed me that he would be the one staying with me at night since mother had to work. He got in an argument with Olivia earlier and had to leave with Will because she didn't like that he had to stay here with me. What a b....witch. He told me Will left me candy and a handwritten card and how he seemed nice. I rolled my eyes and I was told to be nice to Will which was hilarious. I told him to leave so I could talk with my guests before visiting hours were over so he went outside and told Tyler to come in first like I had asked. While he waited outside with Shawn.
