The day I fall for you

Chapter 1

"GOODLUCK sweety." My mom Shaira kiss me on my cheek.

A thirty-seven year old single mom. Yes! She is still single not because my father died or something. My mother left him when she found out that he impregnated his ex girlfriend while they are still in a relationship.

Without telling him about her own pregnancy, she ran away. Away from everyone and everything that's connected to my father.

"Thanks mom, I gotta go." I said as I kissed her goodbye.

"Be careful there and always update me, alright?"

"OK mom, bye." And I started walking to the bus station. I refused her offer to take me to the university because I don't want her to be late on her work as a project analyst in one of the biggest real estate in the Philippines. Her way is on the east while the university I'm going in is on the north. So, it's really out of the way.

Forty five minutes ride from home to university. And being a first year year student, I don't want to be late on my first day, so I plan to reach the university one hour early.

I took a Business Administration Major in Management here in St.Margareth University. I'm in a first year and this is the first day.

I'm half scholar here so i need to maintain a higher grade. In able to d that, I need to study hard. No to distraction. -well, I hope so- .

After fifty minutes, I'm already standing outside the campus. I notice that there still two gates on my right side. Maybe it's for the primary and secondary school.

I already toured myself half of the university when I took my scholarship exam here. So I already know where I the locker room here.

As I was walking to yhe locker, I past by alot of students already. Maybe they are also freshmen like me who came early.

"Have you heard the news, guys? Rex is not going to states anymore." Somebody said but I just ignored it and keep on walking.

"And guess what?" Another voice said, "he's still going to play in our basketball team." And they all scream like a fangirl.

I keep on walking and didn't mind the stares and talking of the other students.

I already know where my locker is, so I just go straight there when I reach the room.

I put all the my things inside my locker and keep the one that I needed in my first period, which is, Logic.

"Hi."

Someone said beside me. I didnt notice her. She's wearing a babyblue of shoulder blouse with fitted jeans and I think, it's three-inches stilletos. Her hair is a little bit curly and I can guess she's wearing and brown contact lense. And she's smiling at me wildly.

"Hello." I said with a little smile.

"I'm Sandy." She said and extend her hand to shake.

"I'm Shelby." I said.

"Shelby?"

"Shelby Rye Alcantara."

"Wow! Nice name. Nice to meet you." She said still smiling. "I guess you're new here."

"Yeah." I said, "and you're not?"
Because she has that vibe saying' 'I know everything here.'
