Chapter Five: Broken

Chris' POV

Before Tony could even turn away I stopped him and asked 'Why are you protecting me?' Tony looked back at me with guilt and said 'I was also a rebel once, only broken.'. I wondered what he means about broken but I had a bad feeling about it...

So the groups were split and taken to different parts of the city outside Marvale and order to place the the test.

Something that seems to be a force field that looked like a dome filled the place. 'So we have to survive huh' Logan said he was nervous knowing he must protect the green glowing gem symbolizing Serene. I had the red one for Audacious. Jane has the blue one for Astute. 'I still dont get this I was once Audacious back in my old country why am I astute now?!' Jane said angrily. She was Asian a girl from The country Cran, which used to have been Japan until 2016. They still kept some of their cultures but most changed. In her country she 14 since they consider children that are newly born to be one year old already, she was Audacious once and failed her test to be able to go to the next level she was cast out to Marvale instead of being in the Slums or killed because she was The daughter of the leader of Orvale City. And when she is in Marvale she is just thirteen so she started all over again. I can't help to laugh my ass out as that stubborn rich kid is facing the harder test Marvale gives us. My hapiness was cut just by remembering what Tony said about him being a Rebel and... broken.

Jane's POV

So this is our test dome an old abandoned city that looks destroyed, this is all the government's group the Neo, the group that started it all they were the brains to advanced technology back in the days my granny told me, they made appliances then into mobiles then they were hired by the government to make war ships and other advanced military equipment they were like tech gods, but when the world was still in place leaders around the world panic over their countries that they are already out of control that is when the ruthless Mason Marcus Thadeus III stepped in and proposed what they will do, he made use of Neo then worldwide martial law was announced. Theu wiped all human beings from different countries. Leaving a few alive but condemned. Marvale was the most mysterious, all we know is that we stand where New York was one, Orvale used to be Japan, Audvalle was China there more but all I know is that our rebel Chris, his race came from the Philippines which is now Crudevalle. I bet he doesn't remember I was the kid that bullied him in pre school during the times when it was simpler. Yes pre school because childrens life were the same as before when it comes to studies yet when we finish grade school we will begin with being tested and I do not know what comes next. Chris... the boy I liled before, it was so akward so I bullied him. Funny I know so much it is because our parents were once close until this tragedy...as an arrow was about to be shot 'Look out' I screamed. 'Violence!?' Logan said. It was obvious they both didn't listen to the rules because of Tony' protect Rebel thing and they chitchat about boy things. I used bare hands to catch the arrow by the side. Chris was surprised 'How'd You do that!?!' 'I've through this'. 'How's my little bitch?' Canor mocked. That guy gets to my nerves We were once together and did things because I loved him now it was anger. I was about to attach unarmed but Chris holds me'Not now' with eyes that looked into my soul so I calmed. Shit, not this time no... we are in the middle of a warzone in the abandoned city with little resource and I'm feeling something for Chris?!? No... I will regain my rights as Audacious I will not fall in...
