Dear Love,

The ancient Greeks believed that you came in eight different forms (or maybe seven, who knows): Eros, Philia, Storge, Ludus, Mania, Pragma, Philautia, and Agape.

Have I experienced all of you?

Well, obviously not.

And to be honest, I hope that I never encounter Mania. The thought of having a yandere partner just makes me shudder in fear.

I'm not sure how I should talk to you (or you guys), because I haven't met you in all the forms you present yourself as, but I'm willing to give this a shot.

Love, you are, to most people anyways, everything. You give us hope and most of the time you fill us up with this warm, fuzzy feeling inside. You come to us in many forms, in a parent, friend, lover, and sometimes even in a pet.

But Love, you can also hurt us. And when you do, it's not just a little scratch. It's as if you plunged a knife into our hearts. Almost like the warm, kind side of you was just a facade.

However, Love you also build us up and fix us. If it weren't for you, the world would just be gloomy and dark. Maybe humans wouldn't have survived.

So thank you Love.

Forever yours,

Me
