adelina may denoire
Looking out the passenger seat window, I hummed softly and saw the house my mom showed me a picture of and told me "this is ours". I took out my headphones and got out of the car when it stopped, stretching. The car ride here had been long. Biting my lip, I looked at the house. It was almost the opposite of our old one, more modern than contemporary, and the houses were closer together. I didn't want to move but me only being seventeen, I didn't have a choice in the matter.
Grabbing my backpack out of the car, I walked inside. Boxes were stacked inside as the moving company had already brought everything - some stuff already hung up and decorated from the recent time my mom had come here.
"May, your room is upstairs on the right" my mom yelled to me from the kitchen. Knowing her, she would stay up for a bit and try to put away as much stuff as she could; she hated messes and that's exactly what these boxes were.
As much as I didn't want to move here, I was kind of excited to see what my bedroom looked like. My mom only showed me what the outside of the house looked like as she wanted the rest to be a surprise. All I knew was that it was a three bedroom, three bathroom house.
Walking into the room my mom said was mine, I smiled to myself, it was huge compared to my other room. Boxes were scattered in my room and my bedframe had already been set up that way I could sleep.
Sitting down on my bed that was in the corner of my room, just how it was at my old house, I looked out the window. Seeing someone wave from the window across from mine, I jumped. I didn't even realize he had been there until now and it made me wonder how long he had been watching. I waved back and laughed, even though he couldn't hear it, he still could see - the houses weren't that far apart. He opened his window and motioned for me to do the same, so I did.
"What's your name?"
"Adelina"
"No, no. Your full name" he said with a small smirk as he looked at me.
"Adelina May Denoire"
"Nice to meet you, Del, I'm Grayson Bailey Dolan"
"It's nice to meet you too" I smiled, growing a little nervous as I finally fully saw his face. He was gorgeous.
"Well, how old are you?" he asked.
"Seventeen, and you?"
"The same. I'll be eighteen in December. What about you?"
"Eighteen.... in May"
"Is that why your middle-" he began but I cut him off, I got asked this almost every time. I laughed and nodded,
"Yeah, my parents are a little uncreative" I said, half serious.
"Well, I think your names beautiful" he said, grinning at me before closing the window.
