Eva Rose

It's been a week since the accident, and I've spent every night in Ryder's bed. I scream myself awake in fear of my nightmares have become true. Only to awaken to a guarded Ryder, cooing at me, telling me it was okay, and that he was here. The girls have been working with Maddox, and have been moving me and the boy's stuff into Terreae's apartment. It's been move in ready since Wednesday. It's Saturday, I just didn't want to leave Ryder.

I disassembled  myself from Ryder, pulling my lower half out from under his muscular legs, and dragged myself to the bathroom where I proceeded to get ready for court. I left as soon as I made breakfast for the boys, and left for home.

Arriving at my new apartment, I made sure the boys stuff was ready like the beds, and the clothes. Jake and Jace would be sharing a room together and Jett would be sleeping with me (or where ever he decides he wants to sleep).

An hour later I'm standing in front of the court house, waiting for my trail. I would be fighting for full custody of the boys today. My younger brothers were everything to me, and if staying with me was a small amount to pay for their happiness, I'd do it in a heartbeat. But, unfortunately, my parents wouldn't relinquish their rights. Even though they're going through a fuckin' divorce. So today, I'd prove I have what it takes to finish raising these boys. Although I've been doing it since I was younger.

"All rise." the bitch announces to the court room full of people. The Judge walks in. I know her personally through this and she fully supports that I hold the children from my enraged whore of a mother and the crazed looks I have of a father. I see her enter the court.

"Eva." Winnifred says thoroughly pleased to see me. My parents, not so much.

Winnifred was an older woman late fifties, early  sixties. She's sweet but stern. She's the only thing that's helped me go through this case. I'm so scared I'll lose my boys to the heathens I must call parents.

"Winny." I say with false seriousness. I smile at her.

"Let's get started shall we. Where are the children. Bring them to me."

The doors burst open, revealing my three brothers. They look so sad and throughly beaten down.

"Sissy!" my youngest brother announces, running towards me as fast as his small legs could carry him.

"Jett, baby, can you go to Winny for me please." I told him, sending the twins a look that says for them to follow the same instructions.

The three comply.

"Now," Winnifred announces through the court room. "Jett, who do you want to go with, your mommy and daddy, or big sissy?"

The youngest looks at me and smiles, his pearly whites, blinding with pride and happiness.

"Sissy. Who else?" he says in a 'duh' tone.

"Boys?" she questions looking at the two oldest.

"Our sister for sure." they say in sync. My mother looks at me wth disgust but to the boys with pleading looks.

"But boys. You're mommas boys." She whines while she pouts. "Come home with me and I'll let you do whatever you want."

"No you stupid tramp!!" Jace screams , only wanting to get out of here and back to his new home. The three walked closer to me. I welcomed them with open arms. I knew I had won the case. But mother decided she wanted to pull a new card out the deck.

"Oh judge," she called. "I don't think my daughter is stable enough to handle the three boys."

One bitch two bitch red bitch, black and blue bitch, don't kick a bitch. You can do this Eva.

"And why the hell not?" Winny asked her clearly out raged by this assumption.

"She was just almost raped, a week ago I believe."

Everyone stopped and stared at me in shock, my brothers looked hurt I hadn't told them.

"How does this have anything to do with the other?"

"Well, she could go crazy and kill my sons."

"Is this true, Eva?" Winny asked with a concerened look.

I looked around, as the eyes gathered my thoughts, muddeling any and everything I was thinking. My eyes landed on my mother. She looked so smug, like she knew she'd won. But I won't let her get the boys, and drag them with her through the mud and slander she and my father had been drowning me in for years. With these thoughts in mind, I answered Winnifred.

"Yes it is. But I would never harm these boys. They're my life. I have been working through it, and the person who saved me from it can verify I have. Ryder is my now my current boyfriend. We've been to therpy together, and we're okay." I tell her as calm as possible, which is extremly hard to do.

My mother still looked smug. "But darling your boyfriends name is Derek." she smirks at me.

"Well we're over." I say, becoming annoyed as it leaked like a faucet into my tone.

"Well, I will not stand for it, I won't have my boys be in home where men run throught the house all willy nilly. I won't have my kids be raised by a slut."

"Then why are they still in your custody!" I screamed back. Now there's no holdng back. "I have had one long term relationship, and that was Derek, and we broke up. I am no slut mom. Unlike others, I take nothing from my mother. and the boys are fine with me because-"

The door creaked open to reveal a panick looking Ryder.

"Oh, thank god." he muttered.

"What's wrong?" I say becoming worried.

"You left and I didn't know where you went!" I could feel his fears and tension roll off him in waves.

"Hey son, where trying to have a trail here." Winny said trying to get Ryder's attention. With eyes still trained on me, he sits down on the bench.

"Who the hell are you?" my mom tries to make a snide comment towards Ryder, but it bounces off him like a guys back-splash on a uranal.

Winny repeats the whore's question to him.

"My names Ryder, your honor." finally relases my eyes from his intense hold.

"The new boyfriend, correct?"

"Yes ma'am. I will the last new boyfriend she has."

"Well, I guess that solves that. social services will be checking up on you from time to time, and I suggest you two work out your differences before you try and fight for any form of custody." she says now turned on my "parents".

"Case dissmissed."
