I find the other book very interesting. It says the same things as my Fathers book, except its backwards. Apparently the Browns and the Vains  had a bad history together. I still don't understand the lion thing though. What could any of this possibly have to do with lions?   I thought to myself.

I decide to go to sleep and not question the lion thing right now. I only wonder what the next day will have in store for me.

The rest of the school week went by pretty fast, I was not looking forward to the weekend. "So are you ready for that party tomorrow red?" Shiloh ask me and I shake my head. "Why not?" He ask. We were currently on the bus to his house, and I had an actual seat this time.

I sighed. "Because I doubt that ill have fun. I've never been to one of these party things." I tell him truthfully.

He laughs at my sadness. "Don't worry Sapphire. Its just like the movies. Everyone has fun at these things." He tells me and I shake my head. We arrive at Shiloh's bus stop just a few minutes later, and begin heading to his house to work on our English project.

"Shiloh, I can't go to the party tomorrow. I'm too scared." I tell him truthfully. He burst out in a fit of laughter.

"Nice try red. But your going. There's no turning back." He winks, causing me to groan.

We go up to Shiloh's room, closing the door behind us. I pull out the book "To Kill a Mockingbird"   To begin our project. "Have you read this book at all?" I ask him.

He shakes his head, his cheeks redden from embarrassment. "I forgot." I roll my eyes in response. I pull up a summary of the book online and make Shiloh read it.  ":So the theme of this book is pretty much telling you to look at life from other people's perspective?" he ask.

I smile and nod my head. "That's right. You never know the battles someone may or may not be facing. You can never know how something might feel to another person. Like when Scout and Jem's  Uncle Jack give them air rifles for Christmas one year and Atticus tells them to 'Never use these against a mockingbird, they are harmless'  He's not just talking about actual mockingbirds, he's talking about people too." I tell him.

He shakes his head. "Your smart red." He smiles at me. "You know the overall theme of this book is kind of like our life, I mean your like a mockingbird Sapphire, but yet everyone tries to kill you, even though you are harmless. It just goes to show you how fucked up people are. Nobody cares about anyone, they only see it in their way, and nobody else matters beyond that point." He preaches making my jaw drop.

"Shiloh that was beautiful. You've become very wise my friend." I smile at him. We work on that part of our poster and finish about an hour and a half later. I check the time, and realize that I have to go pick up Benjamin. "I'll see you later Shiloh, I have to go pick up Benjamin." I tell him.
