"Liv, where are you going?" My little sister, Maddie, asks me placing her hands on my hips.

"I'll be back soon, i promise. Please, just ask auntie Annie, to give you food, okay?" I say, pecking her forehead.

"Yeah, fine." She says, hugging me tight.

"Bye, honey." I say, waving to her.

Get ready.
I'm about to tell you the story of my life.

Hi.

My name is Olivia Roth, and no, i'm not one of these typical spoiled teenagers.

I'm just.

Well, myself.

I'm 17 years old.

And i live with my sister, Maddie.

I'm different from the others, because of my parents.

I don't have any.
I lost them, when i was 14.
Maddie was 7 at the time, so she didn't understand what even happened.

I work at "Tim Hortons" to gain some money, so we'll have something to eat.

Me and Maddie are living together in a very small house.

Again.

Our house is different too.

Our front door isn't closing.

We don't have any windows, they are shattered or broken.

Usually, we sleep on a dusty mattress, that has some sort of towel on it.

Who is auntie Annie?

She's our neighbor.

She really helps us with food, or even with money sometimes.

I just really appreciate her presence.

Although, we are broke.

We need to fight for our lives.

We need to fight for our health.

We need to fight for our money.

And we need to fight for our parents.

We need to stay strong.

And we'll try.
