Chapter 9: The Discussion

"Hey, do you know where Zach is?" I asked some dude standing near a locker. He looked at me and then openly checked me out and smirked.

"Why need him darling, when you have me" he said grabbing my arm and his other friends laughed. I yanked my arm back and was about to leave when he grabbed me from my waist and pinned me to the locker with both my hands at side of my face.

"Now where you going?" he said with his face so close to me. I was gonna kick him when someone punched him right in the nose and he fell down. I saw and looked it was Luke. He was fuming.

"DON’T YOU DARE TOUCH HER AGAIN" he yelled at the guy who coward back.

He grabbed my arm and turned around the corner. This time he was the one pinning me to the locker.

"What do you think you were doing there? Do you even know what kind of boys they are?" he hissed at me, I was gonna reply when he started again.

"I'm not even sure if you were thinking or not. I now you're stupid but c'mon do you know what they could’ve done with you if I hadn’t come" he said and I lost it.

"I didn’t need your help I can handle myself" I hissed back. I hate when someone thinks of me as a weak girl.

"And as for what I was thinking. I was just asking about Zach I need to talk to him" I said and he relaxed.

"C'mon" he said grabbing my hand and walking towards the basketball court probably where Zach was.

"We both know something's going on. As far as I know he was gonna ask Lucy out today but obviously things didn’t go as planned. You talk to him and I'll talk to Lucy" he said stopping in front of the doors before starting to walk away. I grabbed his arm before he could walk away.

"Don’t push her too much. I'm trusting you with this." I said looking in his beautiful electric blue eyes that looked so determined. After telling him she was in the car he walked away but not before promising me that he would handle it and somehow I believed him. It was just the way he looked at me it was just so…so meaningful. I shook my head trying to get rid of the thoughts and walked in the court.

Zach was all soaked and he was playing. I placed my bag at the side of the bench. I ran past him sneaking my way grabbing the ball and throwing it right through the hoop. He looked up angrily but relaxed when he saw it was me. I just smiled at him and he tried smiling back before grabbing his water bottle and going to leave.

"We need to talk please" I said and he stopped.

"Just listen to me" I said and he sighed sitting on the bench. I slowly walked to where he was and sat down beside him. The school was over and I doubt anyone was gonna come in here.

"Look why don’t you start by telling me what happened?" I said and he gave out a dark chuckle.

"What are you gonna do?" he said and I sighed.

"Look just tell me" I said to him pleadingly. He looked at me with so much emotion.

"For the past few days I've been trying to ask her out but whenever I would she would ignore it or change the topic. I thought she liked me but then today when we were in the library I finally started the topic but she again ignored it. I-I think I got mad I grabbed her arm finally asking her if she liked me or not and she just she was stuttering that’s when you guys came in." he said looking down at his shoes.

"So that means she never said no did she?" I said happily.

"There was no need I got my answer" he said starting to get up but I stopped him.
