Waking up, work, work, and more work. That's been Jason's routine for the past year trying to make ends meat living in an old run down apartment in downtown Atlanta. As Jason pours Mr. Bell, a regular at the diner, his nine am cup of coffee, a familiar face busts through the rundown diner doors.

Jason gasps, "Kurtis!" Jason jumps right into his best friend's arms. The two met at a broadway show in New York, but unfortunately, Violet lives in Atlanta and Kurtis lives in NYC. So they keep their friendship long distance.

"W-what are you doing here? Did you lose weight?" Violet pokes Kurtis's rib cage and turns to a customer, "it looks like he lost weight."

After Kurtis let's Violet swarm around him looking for any changes and asks him 1000 questions Kurtis gives Jason a big squeeze.

Kurtis brushes his shoulder, "I'll explain to you why I'm here over some coffee." Kurtis sits down at the lunch counter waiting for Jason to pour them both coffee.

"Hey Jerald! You didn't finish pouring my coffee!" Mr. Bell scolds.

Violet slaps his own head, "Oh of course! I'm sorry Mr. Bell."

Mr. Bell has gotten more and more forgetful over the past few years and a little senile to the point where he forgets Jason's name even after seeing him every morning.

Mr. Bell slams his hands on the table, "What can I do to get some coffee around here? First you steal my wife's heart away from me, then you marry her at my own church! But I can't get a cup of coffee? Back when I was young you'd stab a man and give him a bandaid!"

Violet clears his throat before whispering into Mr. Bell's ear, "Um Mr. Bell, I'm Jason remember? Mr. Jerald lives down the street."

"Oh yes! You're Jason!" Mr. Bell pats Jason hard on the back, "I'm sorry Jerald I mistook you for Jason."

Jason was about to say something but didn't have the heart, he decided it was best just to leave it alone.

Jason walks over to Kurtis with the two cups of coffee and before Kurtis can ask what just happened Jason tells him to not even bother asking.

"Anyways... so what are you doing here?" Violet lights up.

Kurtis takes a sip of his coffee, "Well, me and some of my friends are renting a house in Fire Island for a week, you wanna come?"

"Oh Kurtis you know I would, I just can't affo-"

"- Already taken care of, I'll pay for your plane ticket." Fame interrupts.

"Well who's gonna cover my shifts for the next week?" Jason interrogates biting his thumbnail.

Kurtis didn't get that far into the plan. He tries mustering up an excuse before seeing a waiter walk by, "Hey you!"

The waiter whips his head around to find Kurtis clutching onto his hands, "Can you please cover Jason's shift for the next week."

The waiter looks at Jason then back at Kurtis, "Uhhh no, I have things to do."

Kurtis gives the waiter his puppy dog eyes, "Please? I mean, I will do anything." Kurtis smirks as he rubs the waiter's hands.

The waiter finally caves in when hearing the words "anything."

The waiter lets go of Kurtis's hands looking flustered, "Alright, fine."

Kurtis bites his lip and turns to Jason, "Yes!"

Jason falls into his best friends arms after seeing all the things Kurtis did to get him on this trip. Even having to have sex with Jason's creepy co-worker, Garry.

Jason squeezes Kurtis's hands tightly, "So its official! We're going to Fire Island!"

The two clink their coffees together for a toast to Fire Island. After a few minutes of Kurtis explaining all the details, the big question comes up. Who's going.

"Well, my friends Danny, Brian, another Brian, Max, Shane, Justin, Willam, Aaron, Karl, Sutan, Sang-Young, we call him Sang, and that's it. You're gonna like them a lot trust me." Kurtis explains.

"Oh and I forgot! How could I forget Matt? I think you two will get along really well."
