The arrangement of housing the students was over. Schedules were being handed out by Perfects and dinner was being served. Some houses sat together and others began moving over to their friends' tables-sharing their opinions on their placements. Soonyoung came running to Minghao who was still a bit ill from what had happened. He was closely keeping an eye on Jun, wondering what exactly he said about him.
"Stop staring at your lover already," Soonyoung said interrupting Minghao's gaze.
"I already told you, I'm not gay. I know that Jun's up to no good. I can feel it." Minghao replied quietly.
"Honestly, I didn't know you were staring at him I just wanted to pick on you."
Minghao let out a sigh just before he saw someone running towards his direction, just over Soonyoung's shoulder.
"SOONYOUNG! You left so quickly! Jesus, I could barely catch up."
"Minghao." Soonyoung began, "This is Seungkwan. Seungkwan, Minghao."
"Hey, it's nice to meet you," said Seungkwan, directing a smile towards Minghao.
"Yeah- You too," he replied focusing his attention on the potatoes that were newly served on his plate-which quickly went back to Jun.
Seungkwan sat next to Soonyoung and noticed the amount of attention Minghao was devoting towards Jun.
"Are you okay?" He said with concern in his eyes.
"Absolutely perfect," he replied sarcastically.
Minghao looked down at his plate again.
(I just need to ignore him, he's not important. I'm in Hogwarts, for god's sake, and I intend on becoming a perfect. I'm not letting him stop me, not this time.)
Minghao kept his thought on repeat for as long as he possibly could. Though he glued it to his mind, he couldn't resist the urge to look towards Jun. Just for one final time.
The mistake was made.
The second Minghao stared up from his dinner plate, him and Jun made direct eye contact.
(SHITSHITSHIT)
Minghao's cheeks turned to a cherry shade of red.
Neither could break the gaze up until Jun shot him an engraving smile.
Jun had the kind of smile that a siren would use to lure in their victim. Minghao could feel the air leave his lungs. Nothing was left but the figurative water taking up every bit of space able to be occupied.
Jun's eyes looked soft, beautiful, and capturing. The longer the stare lasted, the more and more Minghao's head felt like it took to a swinging motion.
Once Jun's eyes dropped, Minghao took notice of the much more harsh glare Jeonghan was directing towards him.
Jun touched the underside of Jeonghan's jaw-leaned in-and whispered something that made a smiling blush spread across Jeonghan's face. After, Jun shot Minghao another gaze. His only reaction was to immediately look back towards his plate, still barely touched. The sight of the once steamy and now cold food made him just that much more disappointed.
(I'm not hungry anyways.)
More people had seemed to arrive. Mingyu, Chan, Vernon, and Seungcheol had shown up while the war of intense gazes took place.
"You okay, Minghao?" Asked Vernon worryingly.
"Huh- Oh, yeah I'm fine. Just thinking."
"Hey." Seungcheol said, "Just ignore Jun and Jeonghan. Both of them are just pieces of work." He continued, "They came here to stay a few nights prior to the official starting if the year. They never showed up anywhere; always out doing things. They'd bring girls out with them to the woods. God knows what happened out there."
