The kids, who were playing outside with Honey, were still shocked that their plan actually worked. They just hoped that their parents didn't screw it up this time.
Meanwhile the meeting had just wrapped up. Simon got right to the point and it ended up to be a ten minute meeting.
"Thanks for hosting, man!" Randy said smiling.
"We should get going," Ryan said checking his watch.
"Wait we have some questions for you," Paula said hoping that their friends would be honest with them.
"What's up?" Randy asked.
"Who made up the plan?" she asked wondering.
"Okay we'll tell you just don't tell them," he said with a sigh.
"We cross our hearts," Simon replied, making the motion on his chest.
"Ryan and I just helped the kids come up with how to get you two stuck in the closet," he said truthfully.
"Wow I can't believe they came up with the rest of it!" Simon said shocked. He underestimated them.
"You two have very smart kids!" Ryan said with a grin.
"Yes they are," Paula said returning the smile. "But one thing still doesn't make any sense to me."
"What?" he asked.
"It's only been a week since we broke up. I was eventually going to talk to him."
"The kids knew that if they didn't do something soon, it would take longer for you two to actually talk to each other. The kids wanted to be under the same roof again and for all this mess to be in the past," Ryan said remembering what Randy had told him to say if they asked.
"And all four of the kids missed each other A LOT!" Randy said.
"Wait I thought Holly and Lily were mad at me? Why would they spend time putting us back together if they don't want to be around me?" Simon asked confused.
"Well the girls put aside their feelings to make their mom happy. I'm sure they're still very mad at you," Ryan said.
"Wow they're mature," he replied with a shocked look on his face.
"Yep they are two amazing girls!" Randy said with a smile. He was proud to have them in his life.
"How come you didn't tell me that?" Simon asked, looking at his better half.
"Well there are some things you need to discover about them for yourself," she said knowing that there was more to her daughters that met the eye. She was waiting for the day they would open up completely to Simon and be their true selves around him.
As Randy and Ryan were about to walk out the front door to say bye to the kids, Simon got their attention.
"Thanks for helping the kids with their plan to get us back together! Honestly we were both being stubborn so thanks for forcing us to talk to each other!" he replied with a grin.
"Hey what are friends for anyway?" Ryan asked with a smile.
After Ryan and Randy had said their goodbyes to the kids, they left the house. Simon and Paula sat on the couch in peace for a few moments, while the kids were still playing outside. Finally after five minutes of silence, Simon began to speak.
"So when are you and the girls moving back in?"
"I'll talk to them and let you know."
"Do you want to meet for lunch tomorrow?"
