We ordered our food and found our way to our seats. After about 10-15 minutes the lady brought us our food. I stared out the window at a couple holding hands and laughing at each others jokes.
Kian noticed me and said "I used to love someone that much."
"What happened?" I asked.
"She uh sh-she died." He stated.
"Oh my god what happened? What's her name?" I looked back at Kian who was still staring out the window.
"Her name was Alyssa and a plane crash. She was on her way back from Ohio and my mom was watching the news and turns out it was her plane." He exclaimed.
"Kian I'm so sorry." I felt bad.
"To lose someone who you are deeply in love with is devastating. I would never really know what it feels like. A lot of people hate me and most of them I don't even know. I just feel like everyone is against me. Sometimes even Jamie." I added.
"Well you are kind of a sociopath." He laughed at me.
I threw a fry at his face.
"You're a douche!" I said.
"Thanks! My face was missing the salt." He joked.
"Whatever." I took a sip of my drink.
"But I don't hate you." He spun a fry around in his hand and glanced up at me.
"You haven't gotten to know me much yet." I looked back out the window.
"If I'm still talking to you then you can't possibly be that bad." He pronounced.
I looked at him and smiled.
"Whats your favorite color?" I changed the subject.
"Red."
"What about you?" He retorted the question.
"Green."
"Hey we make christmas! Thats my favorite holiday!" He smiled.
"Me too!" I beamed.
Turned out we had more in common so far than I thought. We finished up eating and got our things and started walking towards the car.
"You did let them know right?" I asked Kian.
"Yeah about an hour and a half or so ago."
"Ok just checking." I responded.
We didn't talk much on the way home just small gestures and laughs here and there.
We pulled into my driveway and he walked to his house and I walked to mine. I looked back at him and he did the same. I smiled and turned back around and kept walking.
"Avery?!" Jamie shouted when I opened the door.
"Yup." I shouted back.
"Did you get my stuff?" I interrogated her to make sure she got everything.
"Avery! I got it all." She finally said.
"Sorry just making sure. On our way lets stop at WalMart or something and pick up tons of food to last a couple weeks." I suggested.
She nodded.
We grabbed our dozens of bags and packed it in the car.
"Guess who?!" Someone covered my eyes.
"Kian?"
"No." He let go and I turned around.
"Its Jc." He laughed.
