A Story By Many

Chapter 8

Skylar-

My eyes fluttered open but shut tightly as the light burned them,"Your alive!", Valerie squealed as she ran up to my side to help me up.

I opened my eyes slowly and saw that I was laying in a freezing puddle,"My clothes!" I screamed but as soon as I screamed that the water evaporated and my sun shaped earrings burned my ears,"Ouch!", I yelped while my hand flew up to take them off but as soon as I touched them they turned back to there original temperature.

"Clara has a bracelet, you have earrings, Katherine has a necklace and I have nothing" Valerie said with a sigh of disappointment.

All of a sudden a women dressed in a silky blue dress with white blond hair and piercing blue eyes appeared out of no where,"That is not true your highness." the women said as she gracefully glided over to Valerie.

As she passed me I was instantly freezing and automatically disliked the women,"What?", Valerie asked the women.

"You have your ring." she told Valerie with a voice that sounded so soft but had a coldness behind it. She crouched down next to Valerie and whispered something in her ear that I barely made out,"Push down on the center." she whispered.

Valerie stared down at her beautiful snowflake ring that was covered with diamonds and sparkled in the light. Valerie pressed down on the ring and it transformed into this knife thing that looked like ice and on the handle were a bunch of tiny white glowing snowflakes and right in the center of the knife thing was a giant snowflake,"A dagger." Valerie said in awe.

"To transform it back into a ring just press the center snowflake." the women told her with a grin and Valerie nodded in understanding.

A few minutes later more people with white clothing and blond hair made their over to Valerie. They all surrounded her and then Katherine and this boy appeared out of no where,"Your a little late!", I shouted over to her as she came into hearing distance.

"What is going on?!" Clara asked with a stern look on her face,I had just noticed she was standing there, but then the guy with Kathrine started to bow down to Clara,"You royal highness.", he said to her while he bowed.

Clara looked down at the guy,"Um, who gave this guy drugs?" she asked them and we all started to burst out into laughter, except for Valerie because she was to busy being surrounded by her 'fans'.

The boy rose from his crouched position,"Excuse me.", he said to us and made his way through the crowd,"Move it freezeoids!" he yelled to the people surrounding Valerie.

"Did he just call them freezeoids?" I asked them with a snicker.

He made his way back to us as he dragged Valerie by the wrist,"Gentle!", she shouted.

"Sorry.." the guy said under his breath.

"What's with the dagger!" Katherine screamed. "You can't give her a weapon!." she yelled even louder.

"Don't worry." Valerie grumbled under her breath but then pushed down on the center snow flake and it transformed back into a ring.

"Oh.." is all Katherine managed to say before the guy cut her off.

"My name is Oliver." he told us in a very official voice.

"And we care?" Valerie said in a harsh tone.

"You must be Valerie." he said with a chuckle.

Valerie's face got really red with anger, she pressed down on the ring and it turned into a dagger,"Got anymore side comments?" she asked him but his face remained calm.

"I've dealt with your kind before and I'm not scared of you." he said in a nonchalant tone.

Valerie got up close to his face so they were only a few inches apart,"My kind!" she spat in his face.

Oliver wiped some spit off of his face and then stared right back at her until Katherine separated both of them,"That's enough Oliver!" she shouted at him.

"She started it." he said like a child would.

"Do you want me to stab you!?" she yelled back at him.

"Valerie put the dagger away." Katherine said with a sigh.

Valerie pushed the button on the dagger and it changed back into a ring.

I looked passed Kathrine and saw this guy staring at Valerie with a smile but then he saw me and he disappeared. I ran down the street to find him. I circled around about five times but saw no one. I felt a tap on my shoulder and I jumped but then turned around to see the guy that was staring at Valerie,"Who are you?", I asked him.

"No one of your concern." he said as his bright blue eyes stared into my hazel eyes. He had black hair just like Valerie and to describe his face, HOT.

He disappeared and I was left alone in the alleyway but that's when I realized that it was dark,"Skylar!" multiple voices shouted.

"Over here!" I shouted back as I ran towards the noises,"Don't!" the voice in my head said to me. I stopped,"Why?" I quietly said out loud. It took a while for it to answer but when it did I wasn't happy with what it said,"Never mind it's only the goodie two shoes." it said and somehow I knew it was talking about spring people.

Five people entered the alleyway with worried looks on their faces,"Oh thank the seasons!" one of them said with a  sigh of relief,"We need to get you to your people so they can get you ready for coronation." said the same person.

"Coronation?" I asked them.

 "Don't worry, just follow us." he said with a wave of his hand that started to glow a pink color. A door slowly took shape and all five people slowly filed into the room but that's when I saw the boy looking at me.

He walked over to me with a frown,"Watch over my sister,", he whispered into my ear and then he disappeared into thin air for a second time.

Was he talking about Valerie? I asked myself. I looked to the door and saw that it had closed,"No." I panicked and I ran over to it. The door had leaves, flowers, snowflakes and embers carved into the door and in the center of it there were these words there to that I didn't bother to translate. I held out my hand like that man had done and sure enough my hand started to glow like his but the color was different, mine was bright red. The door creaked open to reveal a girl with dark red clothing on, "Follow me." she said and then she disappeared into the shadows.
