For a chance at life and a new day.
I don't need a hero to save me from this mentality.
It's a fact of life,
Everyone's true reality,
Not some fatalistic tendency.
Every "hero" I have ever met,
They tell me the same thing,
Day in and day out,
Using so many overused quotes,
Like "music is the guide
To your happiness"
Or "love is the only way
To be perfect."
But I'm not fooled,
Death is part of life,
It's yin and yang
Creating balance in a world
Which would rather ignore everything.
