the rest of the day flew by and before i knew it , it was lunch . mila was waiting for me per usual and we walked down the hallway . 

"about earlier , don't tell anyone just yet , okay ?" she said , looking straight ahead .

"what do you mean ?" i queried .

"i just want to wait until it's , y'know , official before we start telling everyone ." i nodded in agreement . i didn't know she wanted to make 'us' official . we walked into the janitor's closet and went up the stairs to the roof . everyone's phone was pointed towards the other side of the rooftop , where adonis and corey sat . 

"wait - are they -" i asked .

"they're about to be dating if that's what you're asking ," mila said . "and sadie won't be here today , she's off having lunch with a really hot guy named jc . and before you ask , yes . they are dating . avalon also won't be here bc she's part of beta club so she's introducing a new kid . she told me his name was like oscar i think ." we walked over to the table and sat down and talked , eating out lunch and watching  adonis x corey finally happen .

i read his lips and he said something along the lines of asking her out and she wasn't facing me so i couldn't see her response but i knew what it was because adonis face was lit up with the most amazing smile . they both laughed and joined each other as they walked back over to the table . adonis sat by me and couldn't stop smiling , but neither could corey so i guess it was ok . we talked and talked , this was the most talkative ive ever seen adonis . liane , avery , mila and i left early so that the new couple could spend a little bit of lunch together . 

i stood at my locker and packed my backpack . when i was finished , mila and i made our way home . 

"summers , are your parents gonna be home tonight ?" she asked .

"nope , they're staying in seattle because work , why ?" i responded .

she shrugged and said , "just so we can do the english thing ."

i looked at her . "which english thing .."

"STUDYING ."

"oh ." i replied , chuckling at myself . "we're gonna have to listen to christmas music though ." i smirked and she frowned and muttered something along the lines of "fine" .

we entered my house and set out backpacks down . she look at my living   room . 

"damn , this is huge ."

"kinda . i like our old house better ."

"are you saying your old house is bigger ?" i smiled and didn't respond . we walked upstairs to my room she sat at my desk on the swivel chair and i sat on my bed . "to kill a mockingbird is basically about this really cool lawyer dad who has two great kids ." she spun around in the chair .

"that's all ?" i asked .

"well do you want to spend the rest afternoon talking about english ?" she   said . i shook my head and sat up . "you've got a nice room . i like the whole black and white theme thingy ."

"thanks . what are we gonna do the rest of the afternoon ?"

"i honestly have no idea ," mila said as she got up and came over and sat by  me . i looked at her and smiled . i don't know what it was about her , but she just made me smile . she smiled back at me and looked at her feet . maybe leavenworth wouldn't be so bad after all . mila chuckled and said , "dumbass, you're supposed to do the kissing part ," and put her hand on my chin , pulled my head closer to hers and kissed me . wow . i kissed back not knowing what to think about it , but i guess i've always overthought things . she put her hand on my chest and pushed me away , breathing heavily . "breathing is still a   thing , gale ." i smiled and took her hand of my chest , leaning in kissing her again . 

i glanced over to the window and saw something amazing .. i pulled away and walked over to the window to see small flakes of white slowly falling from the sky . it was snowing . it was snowing . "oh my god ..." i said , smiling one of the biggest smiles . mila walked over and looked out the window to see the snow and she smiled as well. 

"didn't snow much in georgia , did it ?" 

"no .. not at all .." i said , still dazed that actual snow was falling from the sky . 

"let's go see it ," mila said , walking out of my room and i stood there for a minute before following her . when we stepped outside , it was literally winter wonderland . snow had covered everything - the yard , the houses , the trees . it was truly beautiful . i spun around to see everything and , like i said , it was amazing . my phone buzzed so i opened it and read a text adonis had sent me .

adonis : you see the snow ?

me : hell yeah i do . it's amazing .

i put my phone away to enjoy the beauty of it all but i felt a cold sensation hit me in he back of the head . i spun around quickly to see mila' hands covered in snow . 

"you react really slow , y'know ," she smirked . i balled up my own snowball and threw it at her , hitting her shoulder . 

"but a good arm ," i responded and dusted my shoulders off . she just stood there , in disbelief that i would hiT a girL . i turned around to get more snow , but before i could bend down , mila ran up and tackled me .

"tAkE tHat yOu eiGhT fOoT sHiT ," she screamed . i groaned and rolled over to see her right above me . i was freezing cold , i was only wearing a long sleeve t shirt and jeans so the grass prickled the back of my head and my neck . "im not a photographer but i can picture you and i together ," she said , smiling . i tried to hold in a chuckle but i let it out and laughed my ass off . let it snow .
