THUCK!
Something heavy fell to the floor out of nowhere. It fell behind me. It was a book..A book that's similar in the painting. Where did it come from?
My eyes widen as I saw the book's title...
BOOK OF MIRROR
Rachel opened and read it..
Many people believe that mirrors are connected to spirits. Some believe that mirrors are gateways for spirits to enter into our world but, nothing is farther from the truth.
To spirits, mirrors are more like prisons. Once inside the mirror, the spirits will be trapped and cannot escape on their own. If the mirror containing the spirit is destroyed, the spirit is 'lost' forever. They had essentially died again.
However, it is possible to release the spirit that is imprisoned inside the mirror. You can release them by using an object that is pure silver.
As Rachel flipped to the next page, she found a heart-shaped key. "This must be it! And this key..."Rachel whispered,"It's silver right? Then I can use this to free Abigail!"She then rush to the room where the mirror was and stand in front of it.
"Please..let this work.."Rachel said as she put the key in the top mirror that has the shape as the key. A bright light suddenly appear and Rachel closed her eyes.
"Rachel..."
A voice could be heard in front of her as she opens her eyes. She was shocked that the person she wanted to save stood in front of her.
"Abigail...? Is that really you?"Rachel asked. "I'm....alive..? What?"Abigail said in disbelieve,"The last thing I saw was surrounded by complete darkness.." "You are trapped in the mirror!" "I am? I don't remember anything.. Anyway, where're the others?"Abiggail said as she saw Rachel shook her head,"...Don't know.." "Wait...Don't tell me.. You're risking your life just to go back to this place and save us..?"Abigail asked. Rachel nodded. "Why?! Didn't we told you not to come to this place?! We're already happy if one of us had escaped!"
"I can't do that. Beside, I heard that they didn't found any of your corpses. So I assumed you are still alive. But...." "But?" "But..They found your parents corpse.." Abigail's eyes widen as soon as she hear that,"I see..." "I'm sorry about that."Rachel apologized. "It's not your fault."
Just then, they saw the key dropped onto the floor. The once pure silver key turned into a rusted black key. "What happen to the colour? It supposed to be a pure silver key."Rachel sighed as she put it in her pocket.
"Let's go. We're still have to save the others."Rachel said as she lead Abigail out of the room. "How did you find me?"Abigail asked. "I just happen to find a staircase that led to downstairs."Rachel answered. They've reached to a new door that suddenly appeared in the library. Rachel opened it with the key.
"How long have we been missing?"Abigail asked. "For a week. Maybe."Rachel answered. Rachel opened the door and they went into a new room.
"This room..It's look familiar."Abigail said. "Really?"Rachel asked in confusion. "Yea."Abigail answered. "Anyway, we should focus on the others."Rachel said. Abigail then stopped walking and looked at Rachel in a weird way. "Is it just me or..you have..change?"Abigail asked with sadness filled her eyes.
"Change? What do you mean by that?"Rachel looked at Abigail. "Your attitude. Since you had free me, you always gave me a serious look. I mean I know the situation we're in, but the look of yours are different than the last time. It's like everything about you had..change. Rachel, just what happen to you the week before you decided to find us?"
Then only silent filled in the room. "That's.."Rachel tried to find the correct words to say but, not a single words came out from her mouth.
