"He hand me a pair of pliers and he told me to pull out his teeth."

I had never been told where I came from. I knew I wasn't like my father. He was a Shaden Wolf. I was not. I asked him where I came from, he just told me he took me from my parents. I asked why, he replied, saying they were bad people. All the alphas around the world thought us Shaden Wolves were bad mad wolves that killed for the pleasure of slaughter. They were wrong. We still cared because we were still the wolves of our humans who have passed away without us. I would see my father everyday looking out onto a space in the forest. I couldn't see the look in his eyes, but I felt his pain. His depression of not having his human with him. Sometimes he would ask me to find some pliers and shift into my human form to pull out his teeth as some sort of torture from him. I didn't do anything because I wouldn't bear to see him hurt. I comfort him and stay by his side because even though we weren't blood related, he was the only family I ever knew.

"If you were to choose between your biological parents and me, which would you choose?", my father asked.

"You of course. After what my parents did to you, why I choose them over you? My father rejected you as his mate and mated with my mother who wasn't his mate and killed your human," I replied.

I soon grew to recognize my father, Skull, as the only family I ever knew. He was there when I needed him the most. He played both a mother and father role to me. I then grew to hate my biological parents for the pain they made my father go through. I couldn't even believe that I would be trained to be an alpha if they were still alive. My father trained me how to survive in the wild and how to do things when at a house despite him being a wolf for all time. We've spent the 19 years of my life together and even now.... he still wants me to pull out his teeth.
