Audrey rolled her eyes, as she blew a bubble with her bubble gum.

We were addicted, to chewing gum that is.

Our smiles faltered when my phone dinged in the small pocket of my jeans.

I slowly slipped my phone out, my eyes scanning the caller I.D.

I didn't know how I felt about the person calling.

I was relieved it wasn't Preston but, to be honest, I kind of wished it was.

I smiled at Audrey as I answered the phone.

"Hey Cody." I grinned, not sure if it was real or not.

Audrey scanned her new acrylics, squinting her eyes.

I tapped the desk lightly with my nails as I listened to Cody's request, to go on a date.

"Sure! See you in an hour! Love ya!"

I said, making a loud kissing noise into the phone.

"Date with Cody." I said simply, no excitement flowed through my body.

"Have fun!" She grinned as she pulled out her laptop, starting to play survival games.

I headed home and got ready, and then waited for Cody to arrive.

I became anxious as I saw the familiar blue car pull up.

I smiled as I got in, grinning over at Cody.

"Where are we headed?"

"No where.." He whispered as he slowly started backing out, my hand slightly gripping the seat.

I breathed in and out, as he pulled up to a hotel.

"Uhh.. Cody?" I questioned, as I pondered the sly grin on his face.

"I figured we needed a night alone..." He said and I went wide eyed.

"Cody, I'm not ready for that-"

"Shhh..." He whispered, pecking my lips.

I started into his eyes, which were filled with lust.

"Cody, I don't want to-"

"Ofcourse you do." He said getting out.

He came over to my side and opened my door.

I breathed out.

"Cody take me home."

"Already rented the hotel. Come on babe.." He said grabbing my hand.

"No." I said sternly, ripping my hand out of his grasp.

He groaned and grabbed my arm, pulling me out of the car.

I yelled in pain at his grip on my arm.

"Cody let me go! Take me home!" I whimpered.

"I already paid for the hotel.." He whispered, pulling me close.

"I tried to push him away, but he just held on tighter, pulling me towards the hotel."

"Cody let me go! I'll walk home!"

"No!" He screamed, his arm even tighter.

I winced in pain, still not giving up to escape his grasp.

"Get your hands off of her right now." A familiar voice entered my left ear and I turned towards it, relief, shock, and worry, smothering my face.

"And who are you?!" Cody yelled.

"None of your business. Let her go, before I make you." He growled.

Cody glanced at me, as he scanned my tear stained face.

He un gripped my arm as I fell down onto the cement parking lot.

"Amelia is better than you anyways..." He whispered, walking back to his car, leaving me.

"Are you okay?" The guy who saved me looked down at me.

I knew this guy as Preston.

A guy who is the most amazing friend a person could have.

I nodded slowly, standing up.

"Do you need a ride home?"

I thought for a second, and then slowly nodded.

"address?"

I looked down, and then got a pen out of my purse, writing it on my arm.

He raised an eyebrow and I looked away, not wanting to be questioned.

Preston helped me back to the car, as he opened the door for me.

I smiled, and decided mouthing a simple thank you wouldn't hurt.

"Here we are." He smiled, as he pulled up to my house.

I smiled at him and got out.

"Hey, whisper girl, can I have your number?" He said, a sly grin on his face.

I chuckled in my head, him not knowing he already had it.

I shrugged as if to say

"I don't have a phone"

He nodded and looked back, ready to back out.

"See you at school."

I gulped and waved, walking back inside.

Immediately calling Audrey.
