Intro

"Listen kid," the police officer said. "All you have to do is tell me exactly what happened, then we can let you two go home."

I looked down at my hands, which were held together with handcuffs.

"I- I can't, " I said. "It's a long story..."

"Just tell me what you can." The officer said.

"Okay," I took a deep breath.
The cold air in the dark room calmed me.
I looked up.
"It all started about a month ago..."
