Forever and Ever [On Hold]

Chapter 2

Aimee and I are waiting in our seats until everyone leaves, like Zayn told us too. I see Niall come on stage and he motions for us to follow him. He opens a black door for us and we slowly step in. All the boys are sitting on the couch as well as 4 girls. I recognise Danielle and Eleanor right away. ‘Hey girls’ Liam says. We both smile and blush. The boys walk up followed by the girls. We shake hands with the boys and Eleanor and Danielle hug us both.  The girl with long brown hair and brown eyes introduces herself to us as Chloe. She’s Harry’s girlfriend. The other girl, Savannah, is Niall’s girlfriend. She has brown curly hair and stunning green eyes. I’ve always wanted green eyes. Aimee and I sit on the couch between Zayn and Danielle. ‘So girls, tell us about you’ Eleanor says. Aimee speaks up straight away. ‘I’m 16, I go to the same school here in Brisbane. I have a little sister. I play lots of sports and I want to be a vet. I have a boyfriend called Josh and  my parents are divorced’ she says. Then they look at me. I guess it’s my turn. ‘I’m 18, I work at a pet store. I have a younger brother. My dad’s in prison.  I suck at sport, like, I mean I’ll fall over if I run too hard’ I say. Harry chuckles and I blush. ‘I’m a singer. I was going to audition for Australia’s Got Talent but I decided school was more important. I love animals and my favourite colour’s yellow’ I finish. ‘You’re a singer?’ Zayn asks. ‘Yeah, but mostly Broadway style’ I say blushing. ‘Why don’t you sing for us’ Danielle says. ‘No, I couldn’t’ I say. ‘Fine, if you don’t sing for us we’ll tickle you’ Louis says jumping up from the couch. ‘You wouldn’t’ I say. ‘Oh I would’ he says. Him and Harry run over to me and start tickling me violently. ‘Guys, please stop’ I exclaim. ‘Not until you promise to sing’ Harry says. ‘Fine’ I groan. The smirk and then help me up. I catch my breath before deciding to sing. ‘When you’re ready’ Zayn says warmly. I open my mouth and sing.

On my own, pretending he’s beside me. All alone I walk with him till morning. In the darkness the trees are full of starlight. And all I see is him and me for ever and forever. And I know it’s only in my mind. That I’m talking to myself and not to him. And although I know that he is blind. The world is full of happiness, that I have never known! I love him. I love him. I love him. But only on my own.

I finish the song and look up at everyone. ‘That was amazing!’ they all say together. I blush. We all just sit and talk for the rest of the night. I got to know everyone pretty well.  I look down at my watch. 2am. Wow! ‘Aimee, we better get home’ I say and Zayn’s face falls. ‘Come to the beach with us tomorrow’ Niall says, noticing Zayn’s face. ‘Yes please’ Zayn says. ‘Okay, just text me the details’ I say standing up. I got everyone’s numbers earlier. We wave goodbye and Zayn walks us out to the carpark. I text my mum to come pick us up. I would’ve driven but I knew I’d be having alcohol so I decided against it. When my mum’s car pulls up, Zayn kisses me on the cheek and waves goodbye.
