Prologue

Phoenix's POV

"I want to be with you,but—I can't." He muttered,looking around uncomfortably as the concert was getting ready to start.

"Why not?" I said,hurt. He'd been leading me on this whole time? All of that meant nothing to him?

"I'm not good for you,"he grumbled and I watched as a tattoed arm came up and his hand tousled his black hair slightly.

"What do you mean you're not good for me? You didn't seem to think about that when we had—!" He slapped his hand over my mouth,grimacing.

I slapped his hand away and glared,trying to hold back the tears that were starting to pool at my eyes.

"You regret it?"

He said nothing,just stared at me with an emotionless expression."Do.You.Regret.It,"I growled out,enunciating each word between clenched teeth.

Laughing was heard behind me as I turned to see Nova and Kellin coming from around the corner,smiling and joking.
