Your name is Cassidy Gold and you are just going into sophomore year in high school, you have a youtube channel with a following of 100k. At school people are either jealous of you, or they are fake and try to suck up to you. You are usually laughed at in the hallways and always have people glaring at you. There is really only one person you can trust and his name is Daniel Seavey.
Daniel has been your best friend for ten years now but your not just best friends, you both have developed feelings toward one another. You have to keep the relationship between only you two because if your parents found out, they wouldn't allow you to date and you don't want everyone at school to find out because that could be another way for them to bully you.
You and Daniel always wanted to be apart of each others life forever so you did something crazy..
*Flashback to this summer*
You and Daniel were laying out by the beach, it was your guys favorite place to be. Daniel is messing around with his guitar and singing while you just admire him.
Daniel: "Cass, I want us to be apart of each others life forever" he says as he sets him guitar down
Cassidy: "Of course I will be apart of your life forever Daniel, if you like it or not" I laugh.
Daniel: "I know but I want to show how much I love you and there is something I have in mind but we will only do it if you want to"
Cassidy: "Okay Dani your really scaring me" I say as i sit up and lock eyes with him.
Daniel: "Okay hear me out, what if we got a tattoo so we can permanently be apart of each other?"
Cassidy: "Daniel.." my voice trails off.
Daniel: "I know it was a stupid idea i was just throwing it out there"
Cassidy: "No I would want to but like is that even allowed.. aren't we too young"
Daniel: "I know someone who will do it for us. So what do you say??"
Cassidy: "I mean it is crazy but lets do it"
We started walking to the tattoo place not too far away, as we got closer i could help but feel nervous, i was so young and what if my parents found out. I have always wanted a tattoo but not until later in life. I was going to do this because I loved Daniel and he loved me.
We got to the tattoo place and we decided on getting each other initials on our lower part of our ankle so it wouldn't be noticeable. As the tattoo artist engraved D.S. into my ankle Daniel was holding my hand and i did the same.
*End of Flashback*
*Vancouver Washington//5:00pm*
CASSIDY'S POV-
I was sitting in my room uploading my weekly youtube video and commenting back to other people when i get a text and it's from Daniel
Danii: hey Cassidy we need to talk.
Cass: ew why are you being so serious, but yeah come over here in like 10 minuets?
Danii: okay
I was really confused on why Daniel was being so shady cause he never calls me by my full name, he always calls me Cass. I felt a little nervous but it was probably nothing.
A few minuets later i hear a loud bang on my bedroom door.
Cassidy:"Come in" Daniel walks in with a blank expression on his face like he is nervous to tell me something. "Hey Seavey what's up?" I said trying to not look nervous.
Daniel: "Can we sit down?" He points to my bed.
Cassidy: "um yeah"
Daniel just sat there for a minuet, he didn't make eye contact with me, he was just looking into his hands
Daniel: "ugh this is so hard" He says and lets out a sigh.
Cassidy: "Daniel you are acting so weird. What is going on just tell me" I looked disappointed. I didn't know what to think was he breaking up with me, does he not want to talk to me again.
Daniel: "Okay so you know those four guys i have been talking to online for a while with now and how we were all planning to meet."
Cassidy: "Yeah"
Daniel: "Okay so we came to a decision that we were going to try and start a band, and start writing music, we also have someone interested in managing us."
Cassidy: "Daniel that is great, I am so happy for you. Why was it so hard for you to tell me that?"
Daniel: "I have to move to LA for a month or maybe longer.."
When he said this to me my head dropped to the floor, i didn't know what emotion I was feeling. Daniel wraps me in a hug
Daniel: "Babe I know that this is going to be hard for me and you, but I need to try and see where this goes."
Cassidy: "When do you leave?" I try and get the words out of my mouth
Daniel just stayed quiet and didn't say anything. I pull out of the hug and look him in the eyes.
Cassidy: "Daniel when do you leave?"I repeat this time in a more serious tone.
Daniel: "I have to leave for the airport right now." I could tell that he was trying to hold back his tears and so was I.
Cassidy: "Daniel how come you didn't tell me sooner?"
Daniel: "I was going to but every time I was going to text you I just couldn't. I knew this would be so hard for me to do."
Daniel is just looking at the ground and i lift his face up to meet mine
Cassidy: "Daniel I love you and we are going to FaceTime every night and text all the time." I am trying so hard to stay positive and be happy for him.
Daniel: "I love you too Cass and I will miss you." As he said this he wraps his hands around my next and he passionately kissed me.
The kiss is broken when he hears a honk outside of my house
Cassidy: "I guess this is Goodbye.." I get cut off
Daniel: "..For now"
The rest of the night i ate ice cream and laid in bed. This was the worst i have ever felt. Yes I did get bullied everyday but Daniel always was by my side and he protected me. Daniel made me laugh when I was sad, I never have loved anyone like I loved Daniel.. and now he was gone. So many thoughts were in my head like, will he find someone better? will he become a super star? and most importantly will i be forgotten?
