BULLET CATCHER
It was a very cold morning in the 26th of April when the twins was born and was named Ellie Joaquin
and Ella Blair they were both born healthy. Their parents, Kathryn and Daniel were not really expecting
for twins of the opposite gender they were expecting for male babies. Either way, they are still happy for
having them.
Before the said date of labor, the couple fixed a whole room for the expected twin. The theme of the
room was baby blue and white. White unisex clothes and clothes for boys were bought as well as blue
baby bottles are being readied. Two cribs were placed adjacent to each other, and a whole bunch teddy
bears were placed in one corner of the room. Before closing the door, Daniel and Kathryn smiled at
each other.
The newly formed family stayed in the hospital for nearly a week, the day they went home, everything
seemed pretty normal until the couple realized something, they were expecting for male twins, and that
there are no girl stuffs in the room for Ella to use. So the couple made her use Ellie's 'suppose' twin's
things. The next day the family went on shopping for Ella's things, they bought lots of baby dresses,
baby shoes and some accessories for Ella.
At the age of 3 the twins began to attend the play school, they are both smart kids. They may have
gotten it from their genes since Daniel topped the Engineering board exam, and Kathryn was a
consistent Dean's lister as a Business Administration student. Despite of their parent's popularity and
their status in life, the twins were raised as simple and humble children. They turned even turned 7 with
an ordinary kiddie party, like other kids in their batch, they were not fed with a silver spoon, and they
were thought to be humble and fair. Although their parents' loved and treated each of them equally,
there would still be a comparison since they are twins; the people around them would always compare
them.
After their party, their Aunt Julia from Australia stayed together with his husband Diego and their child
son Jason for a catching up at the Dela Rosa Residence. Julia and Diego are part of Kathryn and Daniel's
High School friends; they have this particular group way back then. They talked about lots of things from
their High School days to their life with their respective families, which of course led to their children.
"So Juls, how's Jason doing, when you migrated to Australia?" Kathryn then opened the topic.
"He's fine, at least someone can look after him since his grandmom's in there unlike when we're here,
the maids are the only one who's looking after him, though we're both kinda sad when we left our jobs
here in the Philippines, but luck really came in our way; we easily found a great job there. How are you
both doing with the kids? The last time we talked you said it would be male twins?" Julia said, as always
