"RILEY STOP!" I screamed. I pushed her off of me and grabbed the knife out of her hand.

"THIS IS MY JOB, HART! I WILL NOT STOP UNTIL IT'S FINISHED!" she yelled, jumping back onto me.

We both wrestled for the knife. I pulled her hair, she scratched my face. I soon heard a scream, but I couldn't tell if it was from me or her. I felt my grip loosen and pulse drop.

"Oh no," a muffled voice said. "What the fuck have I done... Maya, please open your eyes!"

I heard screams and cries, but I was too weak to stop them. The voice begins to drift away as another broadens.

"Maya, get up!" I hear. I open my eyes to find Lucas and Smackle hovering over my body. I rub my eyes and stand up with their help.

"What happened? Where am I?"

"Outside of the police station. Snuck out too, eh?" Smackle asks.

"You know, we weren't suppose to do this," Lucas jumps in. "We were on house arrest by the big guns."

"It's for Riley, you know," she snaps.

"Okay okay, can someone just explain why I was on the ground with," I pause, looking at my jacket, "...my sleeve ripped?"

"You started having a mini panic attack and collapsed, screaming. We covered your mouth so nobody heard you. Luckily, everyones caught up in there," Lucas answers, pointing back to the building.

BANG

The three of us snapped our heads towards the police station, where a bullet was shot.

"What the fuck has she done now," I say under my breath. I run towards the front doors, ignoring my friend's protests. As I push the doors open, I found Riley pinned to the ground by multiple cops with a gun in her hand, the same one she threatened me with. There was a group of people surrounding a cop that was laying on the ground, unconscious and bloody.

"GET BACK, KID!" one of them yells.

"Maya?!" I hear my mom scream. I look to my right to find Topanga in tears and Cory, enraged.

"I'm sorry," I mouth to her. She shoots me a confused look as I look back to Riley. We both make eye contact and I see a smile form across her face. She voluntarily let's the cops take her away, keeping our eyes locked.

"Wait!" I yell. I quickly cover my mouth, trying to take back the word I just said to grab everyone's attention, but it's too late.

"What are you doing here?" Jack asks in an angered voice. "I told Shawn to take you home."

"H-He did..." I drift off. "I came back... f-for her."

My hand slowly raises and points towards Riley without my control.

"She needs to be taken away for now, alright? Katy, get her back home," he states, pulling her away.

"NO!" Riley screams.

Everyone pauses and turns their attention towards her.

"What now?" one of the cops asks, clearly annoyed.

"I... I need to apologize to her... privately."

"With everything you've done tonight? Not a chance," another one scoffs.

"Lock her in a cell. Then you can talk," Jack interrupts. I look at him and mouth "thank you" as he nods.

I follow the group of police officers escorting Riley to a cell that's barely big enough for her to lay down in.
