Decans yawned, tearing up as he did so. He looked through the nearest window, frowning slightly as he noticed the sun was beginning to set. Decans carefully climbed from the couch-bed to tap a sleeping CQ on the shoulder. She sat up with a start, eyes darting to Geno instantly. Her tensed shoulder relaxed, and she noticed Decans' presence.
"What's up bud?" CQ mumbled, sleepiness hugging her voice.

"U-um, it's getting dark, er, Ms. CQ-- ma'am." Decans stuttered. CQ chuckled, nodding. " Of course. I'll take you home Decans. It's around their bedtime anyway." CQ scooped Error up from Geno's side and chided Fresh until he got up. "C'mon Decans," She whispered, as if not to wake Geno. Which Decans, of course, seriously doubted was ever going to happen. Geno had been asleep for what, a month now? Or was it two? Either way, CQ had tried everything from magic to religion. But it was mean to think that way. He could wake up. It's just very unlikely.

Fresh clumsily climbed into the van, collapsing on two seats, leaving the far right one for Decans. Once Decans was buckled up, CQ helped Error into the front seat, buckling him up as well. There was comforting silence-- as side from glitchy snoring-- as CQ started up the car.     A couple of minutes into the 8-minute drive, CQ broke the silence.
"Decans, if you want, just know you can stay with us," CQ advised. Decans responded only by glancing into the driving mirror. CQ sighed, continuing, "I know things can get a bit, well, heated at your place, and I--"
"It's okay Ms. CQ. But t-thank you for the offer." Decans interrupted cautiously. CQ nodded slowly, her lips pressed into a thin line. She parked her car a yard or so from the front door of Decans' house, and he carefully climbed out. He walked up to the door and placed his hand on the doorknob. He pretended to turn it and watched through the corner of his eye as CQ nodded through the tint of the window, and drove away. He waited until she was safely around the corner before letting out a sigh of relief. Decans went around the side of the house to climb through his open bedroom window.
Decans landed as softly as possible, his breath hitching when the old springs in his bed creaked quietly. He was glad to be light. He closed the window silently and sunk into the mattress. Curled up into a loose ball, He mentally prepared himself for whatever could come next.
