See that spave up there? That's where the banner goes. I don't have one. Make me one? *hint hint*
Nicolette's P.O.V
A few days later, I was sitting in a hotel room, waiting for Nathan to get back from the store. The T.V was turned on the news, but I was not really paying attention. I heard something that caught my ear.
"In another story, teenager Nicolette Greene, has been missing for two days now. Police have been searching for any clues of where the young girl may be. Students from her school report that they saw her drive off campus with a boy from her class, Nathan Clevenger, who has also gone missing." A picture of me showed on the screen, then a picture of Nathan beside it, "If you have seen these children, please contact...." Blah, blah, blah. I felt my eyes freeze to the screen. My parents must be devastated, I was their only daughter.
The door burst open, a cop with a gun looking at me.
Omigod.
I suddenly jumped up and began to run toward the window, but seeing the cop behind me, I forgot about opening it and just jumped through it. At least I put my feet out first, so I didn't get cut too badly. I was lucky was on the first floor, too. I took off into a sprint. I headed for a deserted alley, then climbed up the fire escape into an abandoned building. I could hear the commotion below me as the officers searched for me. After a while, they gave up and left.
I dug my cell out of my pocket and called Nathan.
"Hello?" He hissed.
"Nathan, it's Nicolette. Don't go back to the hotel room." I kept my voice low.
He took a breath before answering. "Why? Did the cops find you?"
"Yeah. I got away, though. I'm hiding in that apartment building in that abondoned alley."
"I know the one you're talking about. Be there in a minute."
The line disconnected, leaving me holding the phone in my hands.
Nathan's P.O.V:
"Yeah. But I got away, though. I'm hiding in that apartment building in that abondoned alley."
"I know the one you're talking about. Be there in a minute." I hung up on her.
Why did she escape the cops? Any normal girl would have let the cops take her home, with her family and friends. A normal girl would have ratted me out. Why didn't she? Maybe she just didn't want to go home.
Maybe there is something wrong at home.
Maybe she doesn't want me to get thrown in jail...
Nah, that's crazy Nathan. Of course she wants you in jail. She's probably only being civil to you because she thinks you're going to kill her. The bottle of hair dye felt like a million punds as I scurried up the latter into the building. Nicolette was still sitting in the middle of the floor.
"Here," I threw the box at her. It was black/dark browne hair dye. (now she looks like the girl in the picture at the beggining) I had a box of blonde hair dye for myself.
We followed the instructions on the box, and Nicolette pulled her hair up, for once, to look even more different than usual. She turned and smiled at me, and I knew then that I couldn't resist her anymore. I leaned toward her quickly, pressing my lips against hers. I cupped her face in my hands, and we stood there for a moment just kissing softly.
When we broke apart, she looked up at me, and I whipsered, "I'm sorry,"
