I woke up in my room and searched around my room for my phone to check the time. My feet coming in contact with the hard floor and slowly walking around my room. My hands coming in contact with the light switch and turning them on. The brightness of the light brightening my whole room, while I blink a couple of times to the point I'm used to the brightness. Food and faint laughs and giggles coming from the kitchen. I grabbed my phone and went downstairs to my lil brothers kookie and v playing with each other. In my head I pictured this moment as a real family, a family that didn't have to look like others and wear the same clothes.
The subject of looking different was never brought up because my parents believed in sameness. Sameness that would bring people together in peace my teachers and everyone around me would say. My brothers didn't mind because they were still young and naive. Wearing the same colors and clothes annoyed me more than anything. Anyways today I was going back to high school and I guess I was excited to get away from my brothers. I put my gray pants, gray shirt, and gray shoes and walked out the house with my best friend Sarah (or any name). She was also wearing the same thing so I asked her if she liked wearing the same clothes as others. After a long pause she just said I really I don't care so I walked faster to the school, while making sure to leave her behind.
I pushed open the doors in a hurry and bumped into a tall person. He stared at me and started to apologize to me, so I forgave him. After apologizing we introduced ourselfs, the taller figure said his name was Jin. So he held my hand and guided me to my first class because he still felt bad.
While I was walking to class I bumped into kookie and groaned because I forgot that he's not in middle school and that we will see each other often. Kookie looked up at me in a lost puppy like expression which made me soft on the inside. Jin noticed kookie and walked him to his class after wishing me luck back to high school.
