Chapter 14: On Their Way

This time I updated quickly but be warned it's a very kinda short chapter, the next one will be in a week or so <3

Jessie P.O.V

It's a miracle everyone, Marcus trusts me. He actually trusts me again, I have to say that after helping him out, he'll actually accept me into his pack.

I'm done with all the rouge stuff, technically if there's a pack of rouges then their not really rogues. See, common knowledge. I was a bit surprised when he told me that he didn't want anyone to know, what if things go to hell and we need backup? I guess it would be easier to sneak in then.

The place is a old shut down strip club down the road about a mile, wonder why they put a club so far out of the city? Some perverts I tell ya, so I ran back upstairs to my room to get a few things.

I ran over to my dresser and pulled out a gun and a pocket knife I kept just in case. I smirked as I found my rifle, man I hope I get to use this.

I haven't plan the part where the rogues find out about this and charge me with treason, I couldn't give a flying hoot now. I tied my hair back in a ponytail and slipped on some brown army bots on and jogged out the door.

I slid down the wooden staircase and skipped over to where Marcus was siting on the couch, probably deep in thought by the way his face was frowning.

I sat next to him and lightly tapped his shoulder, he still wasn't paying attention. I grinned as I leaned in close and whispered into his ear,"Man I so would like to take Caleb and kiss him all up his-"

Yep that did the trick as I felt my body being picked up and thrown on the carpet.

I groaned but still kept a smile on my face, I looked up at his angry expression staring down at me, I shrugged,"Hey it got you to listen to me didn't it?"He rolled his eyes and for up,"Ready?"

I gave him a quick nod, he walked towards the back door and right before he could reach for the knob it slammed open, in coming his dad. Great.

I looked over at Marcus's emotionless face, how could he be ding so well at a time like this?

Probably he's a mastermind at hiding and locking up his feelings when he needed to. His fathers eyes met mine then Marcus's,"W-Where's Caleb...... Marcus, where's your brother?!" Marcus sighed,"He ran out to check the boarders to see if they really left for good."

I wish I could come up with a quick lie like that, I would've probably crumbled under the pressure. His eyes widened even further,"You let him go out by himself?! You better of get him before he gets himself in even more trouble than we already are."

He nodded,"We were just doing that dad." He tugged on my arm and pulled me out of the house and into the woods. I looked back over my shoulder and realized how destroyed and tortured the house looked from a far. My eyes dropped with guilt, it's not like I intended for all this to happen.

Okay mate a little but not with Marcus getting hurt and innocent people getting killed. I rubbed my arms a bit before speaking up,"You know that I didn't want this to happen."

He stopped to turn to face me,"I have a hard time believing that when your the one who is most likely the reason for getting my brother killed."

All I could do was nod along, no point in arguing with him if it's all true. I gave him a small smile,"I will make this up to you guys someday, you do know that right?"

I had some hope that he would eventually let myself become a true member of his pack.

He huffed sarcastically,"Sure and the world will rain baby lobsters." I laughed,"See you do have a fun side to ya, I now see who's the joker between you two."

I saw in the corner of his mouth, a small smile cracked. Well the best way to get a person to trust you is to save their brother from a pack of pervert rogues, right?

Marcus and I quickly moved through the forest, not really having any time to waste. I tried to make conversation by saying,"So um Marcus, what type of music do ya like?"

He looked over at me with an amused smile,"Are you trying to get me to talk about myself?" I huffed,"No I'm asking Oprah, of course in asking you!" Sometimes he can be so dense. I was to involved with my thoughts that I almost missed his answer,"Classic."

I lightly punched is shoulder,"Now see, that wasn't so hard? Okay next question, are you still a virgin?"

He almost choked on his air, even though that sounds impossible. He looked over at me with widen eyes,"Why the hell would you ask that?!" I shrugged,"Well you are a pretty decent looking guy, but your gay so-" He asked,"How do you even know if I'm gay?"

I rolled my eyes,"Well duh, it's pretty obvious the way that you look at Caleb and all."

He just scoffed and went back to walking ahead of me, I caught up with him with a sly grin spread across my face,"What do you see in a ideal mate Marcus?" Cause I had to know if he's really into Caleb or not, and this is the perfect way to check.

He looked over at me,"Do I have to answer that?" I nodded, he thought for a moment,"Well green eyes," Caleb. "Short blonde hair," Also Caleb. "And they would have to be fun to talk to." Yeah, Caleb.

I cheered,"Caleb it is then! I knew it, you are so deeply in-" Marcus grabbed my arm and tugged it down, we were his by a large fallen tree.

I frowned,"What? Did you see anything?" He crouched up a bit before ducking back down, he turned to me and mouthed 'Rogues'

I nodded,"So do we take them out or be stealth?" Marcus slowly tip toed ahead before signaling me to come over,"There are two rogues on guard so we must be close, I'd say we be stealth about this."

I smiled,"We're a team now right?" He laughed quietly,"Yeah sure, now I head over to that tree to the left over there and you quickly follow behind me." I gave him the thumbs up sign before he ran off. I sighed,"We're coming to save you Caleb."

I heard some loud grunting and yelling noises, I peered up from the tree trunk and my eyes flew wide open. Marcus had both of the rogues lying on the floor unconscious, he smiled widely as I hopped over the tree and walked over to him,"So stealth huh?"

He shrugged,"We didn't get noticed now did we?" I smiled,"No, now let's go before some new guys come along and find them." We walked up an extremely long hill, I whined,"How much further."

He jumped up to grabbed a tree branch,"Stop complaining we're almost there!" I grunted again,"You said that forty branches ago." He sighed,"Wanna here some good news?" I nodded, he smiled down at me,"We're here."

I gasped,"Your kidding me!" I got that extra strength to push him outa the way and smiled as we reached the top of the hill, in the not so far away distance I saw the strip club.

He joined me by my side and stretched out his legs and arms. I tugged on the loose backpack over my shoulder,"Okay, you ready to go save your mate?" He looked back at me with a shocked expression, I punched his shoulder,"I could tell."

So we quickly jogged down the rest of the hill and made our way an off to save the world! Well kinda.
