The portal Steve, Notch, and Herobrine went through turned out to be a portal that teleported you to Douglas' dungeons. They were made of obsidian, with a few sea lanterns here and there for lighting, and iron bars that made the cage doors. They teleported in front of an Enderman that held the keys and blocked the doorway of the dungeon exit.

Douglas appeared next them, making them jump a little. He grunted.

"Greetings, sir," the Enderman with the keys said.

"To you as well. I need any open cell for this bunch, please." Douglas replied.

"Yes, sir." The Enderman saluted, and turned around and walked to his partner who checked on the cells often. They talked for a few minutes in Enderman tongue, then the original Enderman came back. He beckoned the group, and they reluctantly followed.

"Welcome to your new home!" Douglas said. His tail swished happily, and some of them had to back up a step to avoid getting scratched.

Notch mentally sighed, Steve physically sighed, and Hero let out a little growl. Behind them were a group of Endermen, probably to help transport. Behind them, were Adam and Allison, with no Endermen behind them. I guess he really does trust him, Hero thought.

They finally made it to the cell they were going to be put in. Luckily they were being put in the same cell.

"Here we are," Douglas announced. The Endermen came up behind Hero, Notch, and Steve, and unlocked the handcuffs.

"I will be nice to you," Douglas said. "But if you escape or try to, you will have those put back on. Got it?"

They reluctantly nodded, and were pushed into the cell.

"Now, for you two," Douglas turned his attention to Adam and Allison. "I have a hospital nearby, and we are going there. And you, Adam, was it?"

"Yes."
"You will stay with her until she wakes up, and I will give you a device that you will press when she does to notify me.

"If you see this as a chance to escape, it is not. If you try, you will lose my trust, and will be thrown in with the others. You won't be able to see her again until further notice."

"Ok. Show me the way." Adam said, looking at Allison.

They left the prison and walked into the nearest city, which happened to be right next to Douglas' palace. The hospital was right next to the palace, so it was: prison, city, hospital, then palace.

They walked for a few minutes in silence, as a few citizens walked up to Douglas and saluted or bowed. I guess maybe they like him, or he did something, or they fear him? Adam thought as he followed Douglas. He came up with a few more possibilities before they made it to the hospital.

"Here it is," Douglas said, taking a short glance at the unconscious Allison.

"Nice hospital," Adam said.
"Thanks. I helped decorate it."
"You like the dark then light popping colors, I assume?"
"Yep."
"Ah. I like that style too."

They checked in with the receptionist, who happened to be an Ender dragon hybrid.

They were booked to a room in the first floor, the third room to the right of the reception desk.

"Room 103, I need to remember that for visits," Douglas said. He had gotten a key and another key for Adam. They were one of those plastic cards you get at a hotel, but were made out of shiny stainless steel instead.

Douglas pushed the key down into the slot, and the light turned green. He turned the knob below the scanner, and opened the door.

The room was decent, with the same styles of dark and popping light colors. A flower pot or two with calm tulips were on a table, and that was enough to make Allison sneeze in her sleep. Her eyes popped open for a second, but they were glazed over (which meant she was unconscious). The sudden burst surprised Adam, who shifted her weight in his arms.

Douglas walked out of his way to let Adam through. Adam stepped by, Douglas followed a few steps, and walked to one of the two beds in the room. He put Allison in the far right bed that was closer to the heater/air conditioner and covered her in blankets. He turned on the heat so Allison could warm up. In his arms, she was cold. Well she is a reptile you idiot, Adam thought to himself and mentally facepalmed. They can't make their own heat.

"So I hope you make yourself comfortable, I sense that she will be sleeping for at least a day so she can recover." Douglas said and sighed. He put Adam's key on the table next to the bathroom door.

"Oh. Well I hope it won't be long," Adam replied.

"Yeah, me too. I guess it's the shock of the magic blow then the force of hitting the wall that beat her." He sighed again.

"Sighing is bad for the blood. Go... Get ice cream or something to cheer you up."
"Hm. Sure. Want some too?"
"No, thanks though. Oh! Before you get that, maybe get something for Allison that you think she'd like. I think she likes... Well, I don't really know what she likes. She really never opened up to that, and I didn't spend enough time with her before she ran.

"Just something, though."

"Okay, sheesh you didn't have to go on a full on rant about her." Douglas said playfully. He nudged Adam's arm with his elbow as a playful gesture, and said, "I'll be back. I think I might get a pillow... Or something, for her."

"Alright, have fun."
"Heh, I will. Prices are going up these days."

Douglas left the room and closed the door. Adam sighed in relief. It was so awkward to have a conversation with someone you just met.

Adam jumped onto the bed closer to the door, put his hands over then under his head, and stared into the bathroom that was in front of his bed a few yards away. His image in the mirror stared right back at him, in the same pose.

Comfy bed, Adam thought. He wondered how Allison was doing.

Just as he finished that thought, Allison violently thrashed around, as if she was fighting or falling. Her jaw was slightly open, like she was trying to scream or roar but no sound came out.

"Allison!" Adam half screamed. He jumped out of his own bed, and climbed into hers. She was still flapping her wings and kicking, but her ears seemed to prick at the sound of his voice.

He touched her on the shoulder, and she relaxed a few seconds after. Her breathing returned to normal, and he sighed.

"Please wake up soon," Adam said. "I miss you."
