Anne turned around and leant back on the pillar. She could not bear to see the world around her so peaceful when she knew, behind the happy monarchy was betrayal and despair. The silence was broken as she heard footsteps becoming quicker as they neared the door that she was shielded behind. Anne composed herself, no-one could see her when she was weak.
