"Grady!"rejoiced Christopher, Grady's little brother.
"Christopher, buddy,"said Grady as he picked up Christopher.
"Grady, you're home. Where have you been?"asked Ivy, his mother.
"I was at a birthday party of a friend."
"And was Helen there?"
"Yes, she was there and she looked flawless."
Grady went and changed his clothes. Then he came down to sit with the rest of his family.
"Son, you always talk about Helen but when will we meet her?"asked Ivy.
"Soon, mom."
"Yeah I would like to meet her. She seems like a well brought up lady,"said Fred,his father.
"Just wait a bit longer. I am exhausted so I am going to bed early tonight. Goodnight mom. Goodnight Dad."
"Goodnight son,"both replied.
Next day, Grady went to the treehouse and waited for Helen.
"Good afternoon Grady,"greeted Helen.
"Good afternoon Helen,"replied Grady.
Grady and Helen sat and talked for a while.
"Helen, may I ask you something?"
"Yes,of course."
"I want you to meet my family. I have told them about you and they can't wait to meet you. So, what do you think if I introduced you to them this evening?"
"I would love to meet your family."
"Alright. I will pick you up later on."
Helen returned back home so she could bake some cookies to take with her. She felt if you went to Grady's family empty handed, it would be disrespectful of her.
"Helen, what are you doing?"asked Julia.
"I am baking some cookies to take with me tonight."
"Take them with you? Where are you going?"
"Tonight I am going to meet Grady's family,"said Helen with a big smile.
Julia was delighted by the news.
"Have fun tonight. I am sure you will leave good impression."
"Thank you."
"What are you going to wear?"asked Julia.
Helen frowned as she remembered she nothing decent to wear. Julia noticed Helen and went to her room to bring one of her dresses.
"Here, you can have my dress,"said Julia.
"Julia, I can't. It's so beautiful."
"No, you're going to take it whether you agree or not."
"Thank you Julia. It means alot to me."
Helen hugged Julia. Later that night, there was a knock on the door. Julia opened the door for Grady and led him to the living room.
"Helen will be down in just a couple of minutes."
Grady waited for Helen. Finally, Helen came down wearing dress that Julia gave her. It was a blue, V-line, half sleeve dress with bow in the middle. She wrapped her hair in a bun. Grady's jaw dropped.

"What?"asked Helen.
"You look stunning. I am really lucky to have you."
Helen blushed and then he accompanied her to the car. Once they reached the house, Helen felt butterflies in her stomach and her palms started to sweat heavily.
"Relax, I am sure you will do an amazing job."
Helen holded Grady's arm and then they entered the house.
"Grady!"rejoiced Christopher but stopped once he saw Helen.
"Grady? Who is this pretty lady?"asked Christopher.
Grady smiled and said,"this is Helen; the most gorgeous girl in the entire planet."
"Hello Helen, my name is Christopher."
"What a nice name for such a sweet boy like you,"replied Helen.
"Do you want to see my new car?"
"Of course."
Christopher ran to bring his toy.
"You have an amazing brother."
"Yes, he is amazing. Although sometimes he could be really annoying."
Ivy came into the room and saw Helen.
"This must be Helen. Hello dear. You didn't tell me she was this beautiful."
"Thank you madam."
"Call me Ivy. Beautiful and well mannered. God bless you. Please have a seat."
Helen and Grady sat down.
"Look at my car. It's the fastest car in the whole universe,"said Christopher as he entered the room with his car.
"What's this on your hand?"he asked as he saw the box Helen was holding.
"These are cookies that I brought for you and your family."
"You shouldn't have brought it. Thanks dear,"said Ivy.
"My pleasure."
"Can I have one?"
"Christopher!"Ivy scoulded.
"It's ok. Here have a cookie."
"This is so delicious. Did you bake it?"
"Yes, I did."
"Good evening everyone,"said Fred as he entered the house,"I didn't we were expecting any guests."
"Good evening sir,"said Helen as she stood up to shake his hand.
"Dad meet Helen."
"So you're Helen. My son can't stop talking about you. It's nice to finally meet you."
It was dinner time. The family invited Helen to eat with them. They were impressed by her manners;by how she didn't put her elbows on the table and how she didn't talk while the food was on her mouth. They were even more surprised when she washed her dish.
"Son, keep this girl. You're not going to find like her anywhere,"said Fred.
Grady nodded. Time was getting late and Helen had to return back home.
"Will you visit us again, Helen?"asked Christopher.
"Yes, I will,"replied Helen.
"Great! I am going to show you all of my toys next time."
Everybody laughed. Grady and Helen then left.
"You've got a wonderful family,"said Helen.
"Yes, they're great and they love you."
Helen felt something she didn't feel for such a long time. She felt family love. That brought her to tears.
"What happened? Is everything alright?"asked Grady as he wiped the tears of her cheeks.
Helen told him her story;about how her mother didn't treat her right and how she felt around his family.
"Oh, Helen. I promise nothing will hurt you anymore. I will make sure of that. Goodnight heaven Helen."
"Goodnight Grady."
Helen entered the house and found Julia there. She told her about everything. Julia was glad to hear such a cheerful news
